I hope I can speak for many of your viewers when I say, "We REALLY appreciate that you are aware of how mindless, incessant scale diarrhea "lead guitar" playing is a real turnoff in a gear demo." I guess I can really only speak for myself, but I would much rather hear tasty guitar parts that originate from a more thoughtful songwriter's perspective. I know I shouldn't name names, but one example is the Edge of Breakup guy. His playing can really grate on my nerves sometimes. Anyway, keep up the thoughtful guitar playing...just thought you should hear that it doesn't go unnoticed and it is appreciated.

Wait, you mean you also find it annoying watching someone with like a half million dollars worth of gear play the same reverb drenched boring ass solo in every effing demo he does? But you know he’s thinking, “Heh, check me out” …dude is a clown.

This might be a good topic to explore? What are the essential lead tone pedals versus what are the essential song writing effects. How may you enter change them and in what context Verb vs Echo vs Trems. Does it matter? I would assume most effects pedal production are geared towards lead tone playing.

I bought the Benson Preamp AND Germanium Fuzz to chase that tone.... Now I can get rid of those two.. what a journey..!! :D

i'd hold on to the others until after you've had a chance to mess with the new one. ambient trash did some great stuff with the boost and the GE pre.

I need a warm and clear main overdrive pedal and I can’t decide between this and the new carbon x

I love the sound of the Benson Monarch amp. The clipping & breakup are perfect to my ear. Would love to hear the Benson Preamp through a "clean & sparkly" amp like a Fender to hear if it replicates the sound of a Monarch at all, or your thoughts on that. I'm trying to pick a 12-20W amp for home & gig use and man, if I could play a Benson preamp thru a Princeton, for example, to get the Monarch sound - I would be beyond stoked.

I want a preamp that also has a wide-ranging EQ. What's the point of including 'Bass Mids Treble,' if they don't do anything? Gain staging is nice.....but it is a preamp.
