For this concert, Benjamin Herman invited a special guest with whom he has never collaborated before: the legendary trumpeter-flugelhorn player Ack van Rooyen. Van Rooyen shared the stage with the greatest of the world, including Miles Davis, Lee Konitz, Dizzy Gillespie and Steve Gadd. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday and won the prestigious 'Buma Boy Edgarprijs', which was celebrated in TivoliVredenburg with a concert with the Metropole Orkest.
