Very Informative.. there is NO doubt that the brutal & fanatic Islamic Mughal rule in India faced stiff resistance at different periods from the great RAJPUT warriors, fierce AHOMS warriors from Assam & from Punjab the brave SIKHS warriors... Rightly did the great Hindi Poet Bhushana, who forsook the royal favours of the Mughal court to come over to Shivaji to record his glories, he sang :-“काशी की कला जाती, मथुरा की मसजीद बनती, अगर शिवाजी ना होते तो सबकी सुन्नत होती.” meaning : (Had not there been Shivaji, Kashi would have lost its culture,Mathura would have been turned into a mosque and all would have been circumcised.) If not for Shivaji and the Marathas, there would have existed a continuous Islamic belt from Morocco to Indonesia. What addition of 1 billion more adherents to Islam would have done to the world power balance or what would have happened to Indian legacy like yoga, ayurveda, music, art and philosophy, is not difficult to guess…. It is worthwhile examining the 'what if' of Indias history, Aurengzeb, Akbars great great grandson, had embarked on the 'Islamisation' of India. The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra... Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. In 1761, the PANIPAT war was lost to the Afghans but Marathas RECOVERED quickly like phoenix bird within 10 years and brought the whole of North Indian again under their control during the 1770's under leadership of Madhavrao Peshwa.. Eventually, the Marathas grew stronger and fought the British in three Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-82, 1803-05, 1817-18), In the First Anglo-Maratha War (1775-1782) The Marathas emerged Victorious. A Vijay Stambh (Victory Pillar) erected to commemorate Maratha victory over British is located at Vadgaon/Wadgaon Maval, close to the city of Pune. The 2nd and 3rd were subsequently lost and British established themselves. (By the way, just for your G.K, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also considered as the 'Father of the Indian Navy'.) The dominant effect of TMC-BJP correlation is communal tension and is enough to burn this state. It has a bloody history of riot. Another angle is how oppositions in bengal conflict. I am a big fan of Md. Salim.... one day for once if our country allows a Muslim to be CM of a non Kashmir state....then it has to be him !!!.... he will lose this lok sabha... from raiganj...similar to the way he lost from kolkata north....but he is and will always be known for such an influential paralmentarian!

The economics of Bengal and Kerala are different. At least one person from every family in Kerala lives outside India, mostly in the middle East and in south-east Asian nations inflowing huge foreign currency in the state. This is not the case of Bengal. The population density in Bengal is also higher. The policies of Congress govt. like license-raj, freight inequality and a step-motherly attitude towards left-ruled Bengal were the main reasons of economic slowdown. The main advisors of Indira & Rajiv were Siddharth shankar Roy, Pranab Mukherjee and Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, who constantly mis-informed Indira and Rajiv about Bengal's potential from 1970 to kate 1980s. Left front on the other end carried out land reform, empowered rural people with Panchayet system and agrarian reforms. So blaming left and comparing Bengal with Kerala are wrong!

बड़ी सच्ची घटना लिख रहा हूँ यह कहानी हर भारतीय मध्यम परिवार की थी आज से 4 -05 वर्ष पहले| अगर आप ने महसूस झेला होगा तो रोंगटे आज भी कांप उठेंगे साल सन् 2009 -10 माह दिसम्बर जनवरी का रहा होगा घना कोहरा पड़ रहा था और उस वर्ष ठण्ड भी जयदा पड़ रही थी...दिन था सोमवार अत्याधिक ठंड़क पड़ने की वजह से D M साहब का आदेश आया था की स्कूल कॉलेज सब अगले दस दिन तक बन्द रहेंगे... तो इसी वजह से उस दिन स्कूल नही गया था...और सुबह 09 बजे सोकर जगा था.... कमरे से बाहर आया तो पापा नही दिखे तो मम्मी जी से पूछा की पापा कहा .... तो मम्मी बोली, “ पापा गैस लेने गये है सुबह 5 बजे ही गये” ... उसके बाद पापा तीन बजे आये और सिलेंडर खाली का खाली वजह क्योकि गैस की गाड़ी नही आयी थी...... फिर पापा बताये की लाइन इतनी लम्बी लगी थी की अगर गाड़ी आती भी तो सिलेंडर नही मिलता सिलेंडर आते है 200 और लाइन लगती 400 -500 आदमियो की.....कल बिटिया को लेकर जाएंगे औरतों की लाइन कम लगती है अब अगले दिन युद्ध स्तर पर सिलेंडर लाने की तैयारी पापा दीदी को उतनी ठण्ड में स्कुटर के पीछे बिठाकर सुबह चार बजे लेकर निकलते है....और 2 बजे सिलेंडर लेकर आते है ..और पापा जी बताये की सिलेंडर लेने के लिये जब पहुँचे थे तब उतनी सुबह ही 40 -45 लोग लाइन में खड़े थे उसके बाद करीब 400 लोगो की लाइन लगी थी और सिलेंडर शुरुआत के 250 लोगो को ही मिला....बाकी सब कल फिर आयेंगे ....यही सिलसिला कई वर्षो तक चलता आ रहा था और सन 2013 -2014 तक चला.... उसके बाद दौर बदला अब समय आया मोदी लहर का मोदी जी प्रधानमंत्री बने...फिर सिलेंडर फोन पर बुक होने लगे....फोन पर आर्डर देने से घर आने लगे...उसके बाद सिलेंडर रेवड़ियों की तरह बटे फ्री में.. आदमी पूछता है की मोदी ने क्या मोदी जी ने जो किया वह उस पिता एवम् पुत्री से पूछो जो हाड कपा देने वाली ठण्ड में सुबह चार बजे उठकर सिलेंडर लेने जाता था.... ·
