West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came under sharp attack today at the India Today Conclave East 2018 being held at Kolkata with both the BJP and the CPI(M) blaming her for the lack of development and the polarisation in the state.

You have not given BJP a chance to rule West Bengal yet. Yes, Left front rule was better than TMC rule. But Left Front could not do any significant change except Land reform. But it is debatable whether recording share croppers has benefitted the agriculture of West bengal or not.

@@MegaSpassky The Planning Commission records would show that West Bengal was number one in rice grain production in the entire country. But Planning Commission is no more. It has been abolished by Gobar Party in 2014 and replaced by Niti Ayog(Policy Corporation). Words have meanings to be found in dictionary only. Consult Wikipedia if possible.😎😎😎😎

@@haiderkhan6934 We all know how teachers are being recruited in West Bengal and their competence. A survey has shown that 67% students of class VIII cannot do division in mathematics. So they are not even competent to do work in grocery shops. Health system has collapsed. District and subdivisional hospitals are lacking doctors and specialist doctors. Common men go to corporate hospitals during emergency to save their lives though treatment there is very expensive. No industry is being set up. Instead of steel factory of Jindal group, guava cultivation is being done in the acquired land in Midnapore. Government has given licence to open large number of wine shops. Government has even taken up the distribution business of liquors from private sector. Now WB government is the distributor of liquors in West Bengal. Statistics given by WB government to central government is not reliable. Doctors are afraid to give a diagnosis of Dengue. So incidence of dengue is low in WB. A survey in Hooghly district by central government regarding MGNREGA has revealed large scale corruption. Money is being siphoned out without work being done. Cut money culture has improved the financial condition of party leaders from bottom to top. Do you know how many students of WB Higher Secondary Board schools get chance to study in IIT compared to students of state run board schools of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. The condition of West Bengal is pathetic. Chief minister once advised youth to open Telebhaja shops.
