This podcast is so absorbing, revealing and comprehensive that I could not resist watching it until the end. Prof Mandal is real gem. His knowledge on the subject is simply outstanding. It was a great pleasure listening to him. I liked his starement 'Congress is a disruptor not Narendra Modi'. He put his stamp of approval on most of the tasks achieved by NDA goverment under the leadership of Modi ji. Congress needs to be outrightly rejected by the masses for at least 25 more years so that the continuity of progress is ensured.

Really great discussion. In depth knowledge of caste politics. Congress was such a force against OBC.

The guest has researched very well and speaking with the information he has gathered through credible sources. It is definitely a wake up call for all to know about Congress and how it is playing with the country’s future. It is sad that Telangana and Karnataka is not seeing these issues and electing Congress at the state level. People are thinking that since they are electing at the state level it does not impact nationally. People are giving fodder to the Congress party to stay relevant which is not good. There should more parties based on national and the majority. BJP is doing fine but not enough.

outstanding episode! Professor Mandal needs to be heard more! I personally feel looking at our Hindu society from last 10 years and compare it from before, we are better integrated. Even Mantra delivering pandits relished when modi himself did pran pratisthan and invited dom raja inside garb griha. Modi actually shown how we have to be as united Hindus. This actually is the true worship of God's because lord ram was actually for everyone without any discrimination

I like professor Mandal's knowledge and perspectives in nation. Think broadly think differently.

What a wonderful and informative podcast. Smita ji, Thanks for bringing Prof. Mandal to your show. Though you didn't directly discuss PM Modi's accusations in his "Mangalsutra" speech, Prof. Mandal provided enough evidence to support PM Modi's contentions. To me PM's most significant contentuon was that Congress' manifesto reads like its been written by MIM. Prof. Mandal layed out strong evidence to support that claim. I also like the closing conclusion--the churning during the electoral process its like samudra manthan. At the end of it the country will come out ahead. Prof. Mandal made a beautiful observation why PM Modi will not change the Constitution. He is what he is today due to the Constitution. So it doesn't make sense for him to change it. Thanks again.

Smita, this podcast is perhaps one of your best ever in educating the Indian population regarding issues of minority appeasement and caste conflicts, reservations and it's impact on the uplifting of the poorest of the poor, especially the Dalits. Thank you very much Smita for such a well balanced and non partisan discussion. Mr Mondol is a National treasure and I can imagine his involvement in this vital issue for his being a member of the OBC/SC category. I am not only a supporter of Partition (of India) but a champion and I consider it very essential. I find Savarkar's demand for an undivided nation (Akhand Bharat) with both Hindus and Muslims living together a very novice thinking. My only pre-condition is that every single Muslim must be moved to Pakistan and every single Hindu must be moved to India otherwise new nation will never be a stable nation which is an essential condition for progress and development. (BR Ambedkar in the book on Pakistan and Partition of India, written 7 years before actual partition. He remained supportive of this statement till the actual partition)

Ambedkar seems to have pinched you very hard. 2) Ambedkar wrote the Hindu Code bill that applies to Sudras also because he always considered Sudra as Hindu too. 3) Christian missionaries and Islamic missionaries have tried this trick for many centuries with very limited success. Few like you have been successfully mental harvested, but a large indic mass has better understanding of indic philosophies.
