Yes, a good review. The only thing I must disagree with you is, about the engine protection crash bars. I fell from my bike within a few days of having bought it from the garage. The bars protected everything including the very expensive alloy panniers fitted on my bike. I think they are one of the best bit of the design of the bike.

Really great review as always. CB500X was a serious contender for me but I think this TRK has the edge on it.

Also looked at the CB500X, but I decided on the TRK X, gonna pick it up next week. The Honda is a good bike, but i did not get any vibe from it, and i got an instant vibe with the TRK. Italian design and Chinese made. A lot of people have something against it. But most parts from Yamaha, Honda etc are produced in China. And as somebody said earlier, the CB500X is made in Thailand, so what are we talking about anyway….

I have this bike now for 7 months. I love it and find it very enjoyable to ride. I am happy you tried the 2020 model as the improvements you mention make it so much better than the 2019 model. Electronic plugs for auxiliary switches on handlebars are at the front of the tank inside the fairing. Just connect to a relay powering your extra lights or heated grips. Good review. 👍

Would you, please, be so kind to tell me how many kilometers have you traveled so far and have you had any problems with the bike. What's it like for filtering through traffic and your general opinion. Is it worth buying or should i go for a used Japaneese bike instead. Thank you very much in advance and all the best with your ride.

@@novaklazovic Hi, I have around 5K on the bike. Lockdowns and the virus has limited my use unfortunately. I really enjoy riding it a lot. I find it very nimble to ride either in town or in the country. Because the handlebars and seat are high it gives a good view of the situation and commands a good presence so traffic is less likely to push you around. It handles well so is very nimble in the city and holds a line very well with good lean and grip. It can also change line very well mid corner which is surprisingly easy for a large bike. If the road is bumpy the long suspension copes very well. I wanted a new more fuel efficient bike and don't ride very fast so it seemed ideal choice for me. It does exceed the flow of traffic if you want without effort but to go really fast then get a more powerful faster bike. If you like to progress and still look at the scenery on back roads too it is ideal. You have to ride one before making your choice to be honest as we are all different and want different things. I bought one straight away and so did my friend who ride mine once only. I find it a real world bike at a real world price and given that a BMW 1200 gs is three times the price then there is a long way to go to financially find out if there is any problem with parts of the bike. I chose to take the chance on one as there is lots of reviews from Asian countries doing big distances and very few issues. One man ride from China to Portugal and only had a leaking rear shock but admitted he overloaded the bike and only had road going version not the X variant. Ride it and see but for the money I think it's worth the chance, especially if you don't do lots of miles everyday.

@@googlecontrolled Hello my friend, I have bought lately the older version of the TRK 502 ( none x ) and I have to agree with you about comfort and nimble. When I first sat on it, was very heavy, but after 2 days riding I get more used to it and more confident, riding in 6th gear with 5000rpm gives a very good fuel usage, looks are amazing, riding position superb. Before I had Benelli BN 125 , was a good learners bike, this 1 is from different breed, with lots of torque and speed!

I'm buying one of those for sure :) My previous bike was Versys 300 and I would never changed him if he was more comfortable :( But now I decided to try the Benelli... One last thing - the seat is really more comfortable than the 2019 model? Is there major differences between the 2020 and 2021 model?

I can see discoloration in exhaust pipes. Looks like one cilinder working much hotter than other. This is not first time that I see pipe difference on TRK. I am considering buying one, but couldn't find much update why some TRK502 have this problem. Is it faulty O2 senzor, or some gasket is leaking air? Any updates on this issue?

I've seen that same discoloration on a few other bikes - The conclusion i came to is that it's always the header straight behind the wheel that gets that dull color. probably just burned on road grime.

greetings fron Athens. Thank you for your video. i'm intrested in buying a trk502. my main concern has to do about the highway cruising speed (2 passengers and a top box) that this model can achieve. I'd appreciete your experience. my other concerns have to do about any reliability issues that this model may have. I need a bike for everyday commuting and for 300-400 km trips with passenger and some luggage.

Is there any point in purchasing the x version? The normal one has a decent ground clearance and anyway this bike can only go on light trails due to his weight and motorization. Not to mention, better weat height for short riders. As such, it looks to me that road version can do same for cheaper. Do you agree ?
