    Thanks for checking out the review. I was in the same mind as you. Originally I was looking at buying an Africa Twin Adventure Sport but when I test rode the Benelli I was amazed how good it was for the price. At the end of the day they are so cheap to buy its worth giving them a go as you're not going to loose a lot of money if you decide to sell onwards. I garuntee you will be happy with the bike. Stay safe.

    Really important points are that the brakes are Brembo, and the suspension at the front at least is Marzocchi. Two well respected names in the industry. To get those, fully adjustable rear suspension, decent handguards, Metzeler Tourance tyres as standard for the money is amazing.

    About 12 months ago I went to a well known bike dealer in north Dorset who sells top of the range Italian bikes and Brough, they also happen to sell Royal Enfield, as I was going to be a new but old rider I went to look at the RE Himalayan, which I did and I liked it although being 6'3" it felt a bit low on the seat, luckily the same dealer had just become a Benelli dealer and before I left I sat on a red TRK502X and WOW what a super bike, I am an engineer I it was easy to see the build quality was very good, but the seat and height were spot on, it did feel a bit heavy to move around but I'm a big ex 2nd row rugby player so once I had the balance points it was OK, unfortunately I had a bit of a health issue to sort our so I still haven't bought my Benelli yet.

    Hi thanks for checking out the review. You are spot on about the bike and it's quality. I have just returned from a two day trip around the Mull of Kintyre trail and the bike easily did in excess of 400 miles in atrocious weather. (video soon to be uploaded to the channel.) I hope you get your health issue sorted soon so you can get back on the road. Ride safe 👍

    I rode one of these earlier this year in the spring…I’m in the US and the dealer here had it priced a little higher than I wanted to pay for it so I moved on. I found a preowned one today with 600 miles on it for a much more reasonable price so I’m going to test ride it Friday…as I can’t recall much about the bike I previously rode earlier this year. Not to get too personal but what do you weigh? I’m 32” inseam and remember the bike being tall but don’t remember having any issues moving it around or it feeling way too tall…I’m about 200lbs so maybe that’s why…I weighed it down more?

  • @BikeRiderReviews

    @BikeRiderReviews

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi I am around 88kg with an inseam of 33. As with all bikes moving them around on a flat surface is all about technique. If you keep the bike in a neutral balance and use the correct grip and stance then even the most heavy bikes are easy to move. The problems come when you are on uneven or sloped ground or rough ground. I do find the bike heavy to move then. I also find it heavy to move when sitting on the bike with the engine off as I cannot quite flat foot it. I have ridden both the 502 and the 502x and with the 502 being slightly lower I did find that easier to move around. Ride safe 👍 🙏

    Hi thanks for checking the review. This would make a great first big bike but there is one consideration to take. The bike is very heavy and also the seat height is quite high. As long as you have the physical strength to move the bike about and you are tall enough to get your feet on the ground when sitting on the bike I think it would be great for a beginner rider. As soon as the lock down rules end I will be putting a full, on the road ride review on the channel. Ride safe.

    @@midhryn Hi, no problems so far. I think that in past few years Benelli has upped its game and although many frown on bike components being made and assembled in China, in todays market this is not such a bad thing. Many top manufactures such as Suzuki and BMW all use China based companies to build their bikes. The Chinese have really improved to the point that their products can compete and compare favourably with most mid range Japanese bikes for quality, build and reliability. I have a review of a Sinnis Terrain which is a Chinese built bike coming on the channel soon. It is only a small 125cc bike but it does highlight the standard which the Chinese bike manufactures are achieving today. Please give my review a thumbs up and subscribe as I have loads more stuff to be added in the future. Ride Safe.

    Thumbs up already done suscribe too. I'm less "scared" about Chinese product than italien electricity LOL I know many great brands are built in China or in India no problem for me. . I know that even a new bike could have some little issues, if the VAS is ok doesn't really matter .In France Benelli VAS seems to be quite slow among all articles I've read on the net. Anyway thank you i'm waiting for your future experience return.

  • @BikeRiderReviews

    @BikeRiderReviews

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think one of the major issues using this bike for world travel would be availability of parts. The dealer network is not great. If the bike became damaged then you could end up being stuck for a very long time waiting for new parts. For travel around European countries I think it would not be too bad. I havent seen a trend in any major faults on the bikes up to yet. I have seen a few reports of rear shock absorbers failing but it is not what you would consider a common fault. Ride safe.
