Dear Lucinda - you provide no information in the instance of a trust being the sole shareholder of a company - where it is a discretionary trust - meaning beneficiaries have no right or % of the asset/s held by the trust. This is not clear anywhere?? In such case are the BO's the trustees? Also not clear for group structures - where there may be e.g. 3 levels of group corporate ownership - then a discretionary trust. For each corporate entity down in the structure are the trustees then the BO's? Please clarify, would be appreciated

Unfortunately, CIPC does not have any examples.

No information on 100 percent ownership, the reason why this rules have come in to place.
