Ernst Sachse - Concertino for bass ( Allegro Maestoso )
as recorded almost 20 years ago, back in 2003, for my Album "First Song".
I'm still pretty proud of what my dear friend Alla Libo and I, achieved at that time. Not all bass trombonists like the piece that much but I've always enjoyed working on it.
It is in Europe one of the frequently asked for solo pieces for auditions so it has to be on the playing list of all young bass trombonists with ambition for an orchestra job.
Perhaps this performance, which isn't available on Spotify, might be of some inspiration for your interpretation.
Movements 2 and 3 will follow swiftly.
