I wish I could describe the feeling this comment gave me. It's like a nostalgia for a thing I've never felt, and yet I know and want that exact feeling so bad it hurts. Right now, I can only dream of being able to sing this to my future SO, showing them how deep my love runs, as we both drift off, safe in each other's arms again. Maybe one day...

OMG THIS IS PERFECT. The original came out one month after my daughter was born, in the thick of my postpartum depression and I can honestly say that this song helped me get through that fog and bond with her. Now we can listen to this as her lullaby for the night. ❤️

My sweet grandmother passed away a month ago. She was my second mother for 21 years and every time I hear this song I cry and think about her. She was my everything.

Ben, I know you probably will never see this, but I just want you to know you have changed my life. It was a new school, quarantine at its height, and we were all depressed. Then I heard the song for forever. I started listening to your music and quickly became obsessed. I now am madly in love with Broadway and singing and theatre and I want to be an actor. This version of imagine (my personal fav of your songs) dropped the night before my first performance ever, in which I got a lead. Thank you.🙏

But it makes it so much harder because you know you can’t give into the depression because you want nothing more than to make them happy. But it still pulls you under everyday. This song makes me so emotional thinking of him. I hope I can keep it together and make him as happy as he deserves.
