only his new albums dont get enough credit because they are very different from his folk background with India Bourne and Co....but the Defeat from Noonday ALlbum is a gem as its nothing like he has ever produced. Then you have the current album where you see more of the defeat but tones it down a bit as Crowhurst meme is much like the defeat and my favorite far out. During the Pandemic i bought a guitar because I love Bens music and here I am as a guitarist. Enjoy this artist Albums as all are gems.

Loved his first album, but he hasn't followed it up with anything near as good., since. Happens all the time. The first great albums usually have some songs that are years old. When a new album is due they have to work on a clean slate. That's where new albums are normally not as good. That's where the top creative song writing talents float to the top and the mediocre next ablum usally sinks to the bottom. Fingers crossed he finds some inspiration from somewhere for his next work as his first album was up there with some of the greats

@@tizz.89oh yes 100 percent agreed there’s a time and a place to do that . This is defo the place when he goes wild audience should go wild too but when he is doing his bit when it’s quiet and he is building up nice and gentle people should just enjoy that part rather than screaming and shouting at that part haha ruins it
Loved his first album, but he hasn't followed it up with anything near as good., since.

No, it's a perfect Ben Howard. No need to compare the two. He writes from his heart and soul. If you don't like it, move on.
