Who grew up in the 80s as I did, riding bicycles, playing out every evening after school, listened to the radio, recording songs using cassettes, recording tv shows on VHS, homework, watched cartoons, movies, good and bad memories in school and simply had lots of fun? When I was a kid in 1992, my parents always took us to this diner that had a music box. Every single time we went there I begged my parents for a dollar so this classic song can be played on repeat 4 times in a row. The customers were annoyed but they had no idea how DEEP this song really is. Still remains my favorite song of all time. And I enjoy every genre of music.

My mom had a close friend that recently passed away. He cared so much not only for my mom, but for me and my sister too. He was a lot older than my mom, but had known her since she was about 11. I think He was like a father figure for my mom when she was younger, and they became very close friends over the years. He was such an amazing, nice and just happy man. He lived a fulfilled life. He never forgot me or my sisters birthday no matter how old he got. We just went to his funeral today, and before he died he asked to play this song at his funeral. So they did. I already loved this song before but now, it’s a lovely way to remember the man I looked up to, the man who taught me many things and the man who loved and cared for me and my family. I first heard of this song when I was about 10. It was my first year in the UK and back then I couldn't speak any English. I was struggling at school and was stressed due to my lack of English-speaking. One day, our music teacher put this song on for us to listen and then try to rehearse it. I loved. However I couldn't ask what it was called and at the time I didn't have a computer at home to look it up. Months later I heard it again and this time I noted the name. I am 29 now and I still occasionally listen to this with my 4 year old daughter. What a beautiful song and voice. ❤

This song makes think of my father who was killed years ago😢
Rest In Peace mark❤

Here from 87. This song means soo muh to me, and I have a feeling this song is going to have a lot more meaning to it for many more in our near future.
I’ve been singing this to my son since he was very young. I still feel the same way today, he’s 17.
My parents danced to this song at their wedding in 1980. My daughter is gonna sing it at my parents celebration of life in July!
Everything about this song is class. From the arrangement, production and lyrics, to one of the best recording voices ever!
Mine and my husband’s wedding song, a timeless classic. This song makes me feel so happy and grateful for all I have in my life
When the night has come And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No, I won't be afraid, oh, I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand, stand by me So darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me Oh, stand, stand by me, stand by me If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountains should crumble to the sea I won't cry, I won't cry, no, I won't shed a tear Just as long as you stand, stand by me And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me Whoa, stand now, stand by me, stand by me Darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me Oh, stand now, stand by me, stand by me Whenever you're in trouble, won't you stand by me? Oh, stand by me Whoa, stand now, oh, stand...
