How about the cheaper alternatives to the Rep Athena? Say the GetRxd Builder series, Fray Fitness Savage Series all in one, or the Vesta Fitness Pro Half Rack Combo

@GlucksGym I would love to see your input on the Force USA G3 All in One Trainer. I barely see any and none current reviews of this or any of the Force USA Trainers. I'm fairly new in the "semi-professional" Home-Gym Community and a bit more limited due to living in Europe. Is there a reason for the lack of videos about this company? Thanks for any information from anyone who reads this, have a nice day! Love the vids!

I like how compact this is, if I was starting over I would get one of these with all the attachments.
Been curious about these since I've seen them announced! Thank you Adrian for always putting your health on the line for safety!
just ordered the stacked one! thanks for the information!
@2:10, 🤣 I appreciate your dedication to completing your set.
Bell’s is definitely hitting a specific consumer with their cable machines and I’m here for it! Thanks to your review I’m glad I’ve gone big on my power rack and just added 1 cable tower but still might add the 2nd. Thanks Gluck for your attention to detail!
Great review on the rack aspect of this. You covered a lot of exercises! As always, well done review.

Thank you!
The weight stack option looks like a great value when compared to the rep and rogue alternatives. The aluminum pulleys definitely help set it apart from the budget options without being much more expensive. Thanks for reviewing it! I appreciate you being thorough with the tip test and bench positions!
Good review, thanks! Have you watched BoS video on their Dreadmill? I'd love to see you review that!
the will it tip part was amazing

I had to
I purchased one of these at the start of the year. Glad to see your opinion on them. This thing works great in my basement and me and my wife have very little complaints. One major design flaw we noticed. When using the seal row as a lat pulldown seat, the pin from the seat will rub on the cables ( bells shows this usage on their website). I noticed you used a bench instead and I’m curious to try it out this week. Thanks Gluck for everything you do!
Nice review.
This thing would be perfect in my basement. Great job, BoS! I have a Rep PR 1100 with the plate loaded cable attachment, but this would be a nice upgrade. I like that it’s compact.
I'm impressed you could keep a straight face talking about the weight change in the back
Good video. When are you going to review the BoS Dreadmill?
Honestly looks better than I expected. Doesn’t work for my current space but I’m definitely keeping this in mind.
Cool concept
Thank goodness you always try both the front and back holes. Going in through the out door is your specialty
Great video and review as always, would be nice if the unit was a few inches taller!
Nice video
Nobody does it better Isn't that a song?, huh I actually looked at this for a friend. He says he's only spending around $1000-$1300 and wants the best cable set up he can get for that. Oh Yeah and he said if it's not selectorized he doesn't want it. No plate loading for him. Your review is much appreciated and timely too.
Very helpful. Thanks. I have had my eye on this, and was very much looking forward to a review video! I have a cage with a pulley system. The whole reason I’m looking for something different is I want a weight plate stack with a pin. It looks like this one is not friendly. I will keep looking around .…
I like how you finished your set of dips after tipping the system over. Not going to let a little thing like standing on the floor stop you!

Just bought a big order from titan and rep with the affiliate links! Thanks for the great info, was exactly the details I needed. I’m making a Frankenstein titan/rep knockoff rouge 390fullw, rep bench and bar, titan x3 folding is the base and plates from titan.

Great review, as always! This looked way more stable in your review than I expected without bolting it down. Did you get a chance to measure the cable travel when using both handles? It’s good to know they work for almost everything, but I am curious where they max out.
Bro got the shiny kensui plates lets go

ooooo the versatility
Great review and for $1500 easily half the price of a good Rep Rack and cable system good solution for many who want to save $$. I don't see how you can put bench far enough back to do incline benches though. I laughed when your dips made it tip over good one!
Your positivity is awesome! Let’s podcast!
RitFit PPC03 is also a great plate loaded option.
Id be interested in a comparison pro con breakdown against the ForceUSA lineup They seemed to also really cram a lot of stuff in there without a lot of apparent trade offs, but like this product I wouldn't know at all without trying it in person or a review like this
The rear delt fly "issue" is very easily fixed by simply using some rope extensions, or you can use the D handles that come with the machine and just grab the strap part. Lots of ways to add length to the cable.
They now have a video of the assembly
Can you check out the Fray fitness Savage series power rack combo. It’s similar to this one I believe 😅
I have the Bells Single stack tower and the pin is almost impossible to insert. I always have to mess with the trolley to get it to cooperate. I was jealous to see yours wasn't that way.
This is the style of rack I want to upgrade to one day. A rack with cables. Cause I only have space for one large piece of equipment. I would love to hear about other similar pieces like this to compare. And that’s available in Canada like Bells
Looking forward to Rogue's new FT implementation. I haven't committed to any fancy rack setup yet.

Why didn't I think of that!
Awesome job as usual! Do you think the pulley system here is similar to what rogue is doing with there new rack integrated system? Meaning a 2:1 per side that becomes a 1:1 when doing bilateral exercises (I would think so). The reason I ask is that would limit the travel of the cable during flys and may be a limitation of the Rogue system when compared to the Ares. Thanks for being awesome and keep it up!
@GlucksGym

I would think so but I'm hoping we can buy one to test it for a review. I've got some Athenas, the Ares, and some other systems we could compare it to.

@@GlucksGym I think for someone who wants to only spend $1,000 and have access to the most amount of exercises as possible, this unit is tough to beat.
Love the idea, but the proprietary upright sizing means I’d have to sell all my 3x3 accessories with my existing rack. Would be a pain to switch to this.

😊 Thank you!
Not a bad option, but the depth wouldn't work for me. I went with two bells cable towers for the rack/functional trainer and then the ironmasters cable tower with seat for high/low pulls. My space is long and narrow so this setup works better. The units only come out around 27 inches from the wall. Also, it comes in around the same price point.
how are those kensui plates?
Can you use the spotter arms on incline bench to have the bar further away from the center stack?
curious, do you think there is room on the center bar to insert plate storage pegs?
Right before these came out i bought a rack with a pulley attachment... For quite a bit less than these. These would take up less space and that's about it
🥇
Can you do a ROGUE FM-HR FUNCTIONAL TRAINER review? so excited for it and new to know if its superior to rep or force usa g6 or g12 before buying the ROGUE FM-HR FUNCTIONAL TRAINER.

I'll definitely buy it for a review
How would this compare to getting 2 single stack so there is more space
I dig it. But I don't have the room or the funds lol
Could you use the center upright for plate storage on either of those functional trainers?
@GlucksGym
3 ай бұрын
Yes you can though the plates might get in the way depending what you're doing with it
For the plate loaded one do I need to bolt it down if I am not doing dips? Just planning on squatting with barbell and pull ups
@GlucksGym
2 ай бұрын
I would.
Ah man the weight stacked is almost exactly what I'm looking for including the price point but at no rear delt flys kills the deal
BOS All In One Trainer vs a set of BOS Cable Towers ? Can the All In One mount a monolift arms? What is the maximum weight you can have on the uprights? Can it handle a 500lbs+ squat (bolted down obviously).
@GlucksGym
3 ай бұрын
The All in One can use Bells 60mm Monolift Attachment but we haven't tested it. Technically so could two of their Cable Towers. The weight capacity on the All in One is 750lbs. I think either depends on what you're going to do with it. Two cable towers bolted down (weight stack) would be pretty cool too. They both have their limitations.
"But the fun part is, it actually works better when inserted into the backside" High five, bro!

You’re maturing. You said “inserting it into the back side” without skipping a beat.
Sorta seems like a person should just live with an adjustable dumbbells and a bench until they can afford an Ares. So many of these budget options just seem to cost a lot for what they are.
Im going to have to dig my floor out because everything is too tall for my space!

One thing I’m looking for that none of these guys divulge would be the lightest “feels like” resistance available. It matters for those who need light resistance to start with for things like side delt raises. Does lightest (top) plate have an equivalent weight of 5 pounds? 2 1/2 pounds? 10? How about the plate loaded without plates? Fewer people could give a rats ass if the stack total is 80 pounds or 90 or 900 (lol) but the lightest weight useable is never given, or very, very rarely discussed at all in these reviews!
@GlucksGym
3 ай бұрын
It's something we've mentioned and talked about in several of these reviews. I feel like a broken record when I say 10lbs is fine for me but it's too much for my wife on things like delt raises. It's probably easy to watch and assume we've glossed over or skipped things but the reality is a video like this took a ton of time to make with all the testing, research, etc. The plates are 10lbs each, with a 2:1 ratio the top plate gives you a little over 5lbs of resistance as there's additional weight and a lot of pulleys etc so it's not exact.
BOS customer support very poor. Try to call and they are always closed and do not reply to emails. I ordered this machine on 20th and said it would ship by the 31st but have not heard anything.

Bells of Steel must be making these instruction manuals as a joke at this point.
After watching your review and others I ordered the All In One Trainer... Unfortunately, dealing with them has been the worst experience ever!!! They refuse to answer the phone, the product came in with a broken weld, missing parts, scratches all over, and a few bends in the main supports. NOW... trying to obtain the missing parts appears to be impossible. Based off the lack of phone support and seeing the way the gear has arrived withwith missing and damaged goods, I have to say, STAY AWAY!!! I wish my story was different. I will update my review if there are any changes.
