I always felt he’d be a nightmare for prime Tyson, big , skilled, great heart and chin. That 10th round between holy and Bowe was like an entire fight in itself. Yeah the bin episode wasn’t great but I don’t define Bowe by it because I really don’t think he feared Lewis, I think his management did. Bowe earned a lot of respect in the golota fights, I can’t see how anyone can question his bravery after that, he was willing to die in there, and was probably damaged irreparably.

I remember watching the This is Your Life episode with Muhammad Ali. When Frazier came out, you could see Ali's face completely change, the immense amount it meant to him was evident for all to see. It also spoke volumes about Frazier, Ali treated him badly.

Try and understand boxing a little before commenting, is not about improving is about fighting the right way and using your full potentials. Lennox Lewis did not improve under Emmanuel Steward but Steward got him fighting the right way, get him to use his height, reach etc, Derrick James can do that for AJ

That and the money that was pumped into him. People don’t realise how hard it is to get good opponents early when there’s no money in the pot. Guys like Wilder were working day jobs well into their career. Even Franklin who just fought Joshua went bankrupt in the pandemic and had to quit boxing for a while and work three jobs. Joshua had a professional set up and team behind him before he even turned pro.

Of course he was ahead of schedule. He won his first world championship at 15 pro fights which is the quickest heavyweight rise in history. You can have an opinion but when it contradicts recorded facts it makes your opinion completely worthless. The fewest fights to become heavyweight champion in history isn't ahead of schedule to you? Do you watch boxing or are you here by accident?

@@jamesleatedo you watch boxing his skills are limited and he took his first titles off a complete bum in charles martyn. He fights mostly has beens and loses to the decent fighters. Lets face it if ruiz came into the 2nd fight in better shape aj would of lost. The fact he wouldnt fight him again tells you that he also knows that.

@@carlgill1386what you’re saying doesn’t matter. The question is was he ahead of schedule and the answer is yes. Only he and he alone hit this level in under 15 years of boxing pro or amateur. He’s won all but two physical belts

@@carlgill1386 Again, your opinions don't change the facts in the slightest. Your opinions are not facts and don't even address the incorrect post that the OP made. You have just launched into an attack on AJ whilst ignoring what the post was about. You also seem to have difficulty understanding words and sentences and have a need to downplay AJs achievements at the drop of a hat whenever you hear him mentioned. AJ is far better than you suggest and you have just jumped onto the hate bandwagon. If you are unable to assess the quality of a boxer independently and just go with the flow in forums, why watch boxing at all? You should just voice your nonsense in forums and pretend you know something about boxing. . .. oh wait, that is exactly what you are doing.
