@@kodesh1674 this is a different vampire movie, not "Underworld". Apparently, these vampires do not burn in the sun, they glimmer. Also, if he got rid of her, the plot would be ruined, and there would be no Edward, Bella, Jacob saga. Although, another question would be the following: If these vampires are suppose to be immortal, then why during the fight scenes do their heads and limbs get ripped off and they die, or get burned ?!? ....I guess we are not suppose to ask those questions ...a flaw in the plot ?

And there it is. The appeal of the vampire who's nature is to kill the girl he loves, but he doesn't, barely restraining himself, so he can love and be loved.

So stupid. In the books it was a planned day trip to the meadow to show Bella what he looks like in the sun after their night in Port Angeles. They changed it to create drama I guess but it’s soooo cheesy 😂

The fantasy aspect is fun, but the intimate emotions makes the plot touching.

To be honest, I don't think that's true. One thing that remains the same throughout folklore of vampires is that it's forbidden to create vampire children because they are frozen in that age, they never age, not even mentally so it stands to reason that Edward, being bitten at 17 still has a 17 year old mind no matter how long he's been 17

I know a ton of people were really shocked by Stephenie Meyer changing some of the most common facts about vampires in most mythologies, but I actually really liked this attention. I think that here it is kind of crucial because it makes Bella very attracted to Edward (not that she wasn't already)! The only thing is, I just wished they stayed more consistent with this throughout the movies. In the end scene and some other ones, their skin isn't "sparkling" at all. I loved the differentness of the concept, but I just disliked that this famous "symbol" in the series was overlooked after the first movie.

If you read the books they pretend to be as young as possible so they can stay in a area longer. They go through all the motions of high school, graduation, college, marriage, before they eventually have to move away because they aren’t aging.

If you read midnight sun which is twilight from Edward’s perspective, then you see that he actually does love her and he lists qualities about her that he loves like that she’s selfless and cares about other people when it may not seem obvious, and she loves him because she knows that he’s more than just a monster she’s actually really upset he’s so beautiful because it makes her think less of herself

These movies are bad, but at the same time I don’t hate them. A bad movie is better than a boring movie, because you can make fun of it.
