That’s all they do. Cheat and lie. They want you to catch them. They are never so happy as when they destroy people who care about them. It’s deeply pathological from childhood. Check out Sam vaknin if you want to know more. 99.9999 % can not change. Ever.

She describes it so perfectly. It's the hardest thing to accept that ideal person you're in love with was never real. You can ever go back to the way it was in the beginning and you'll never feel so loved and wanted again. It's the hardest thing.

Take enough time to really get to know the person you consider marrying. Six months is pretty risky. Most narcissists can fake it that long.

Knowing your need, the Narc offers just enuff to pull you in. Leaves you chasing once again that original high. Then like any addict jonesing in his prison, he slowly reveals himself for the viper he always was. Taking all he can, givng very little. The withdrawal... of his teeth... may be quick or prolonged. (So Ive heard.)

Any mature and healthy adult can counter narcissistic behavior in a matter of few words. If you fall for their bullshit start by looking at yourself instead of blaming the whole world.

In relationships, narcissists don't act that way in the beginning. Instead, they agree with everything you say, laugh at all your jokes, go out of their way to prove they can be trusted and relied on, and it's all part of the love bomb package. When that is happening, would you know you were dealing with a narcissist or, as the human heart yearns, your soulmate? Best example is Amber Heard. If you look for pics of the couple when they first started dating, she dressed just like him and that's a very unique look! She really sucked him in and then when she went off the rails, Depp thought the relationship was worth saving because of the beginning when things were good and she was his "soulmate." Narcys are some tricky, sneaky effers; like the devil pretending he is Jesus and lures you for damnation not salvation.

I would say a mature and smart person can spot a narc but there are many situations where people can't easily avoid them. For example, a person might work directly with them and depend on them or a person, at first, might have fallen in love with a facade and have invested a lot of time and resources into a relationship so it's very gut wrenching to let go of that relationship.

As horrible as this is, it can only happen once or you may give them a chance years later but as soon as you realize they haven't changed and that's who they are you will shut down, mirror them get them out of your life forever, mourn them leave it with god, and find real not fear fake and hurt, you deserve much more😇💓🙏

She must know my mother! Never realised until after she died how profoundly unmaternal she was. One example, I come home with the week's groceries. She screams at me because the tomatoes are frozen, so she can't have a BLT sandwich. Gee, mother, it's forty below, there's a blizzard on, it's twelve blocks to the grocery store, took me an hour to schlep everything back, YES THE TOMATOES FROZE!
