If you ever hear or feel a distant explosion almost instantly, get behind something solid where objects cannot fall on or hit you. The explosion has not actually reached you yet. That's just the sound of the Earthquake, not the airblast from 6 million lbs of high explosives that's going at you at "only" the speed of sound.

Very true, the ground swell moves at the detonation velocity. But, the pressure wave in the air is slower (≠1,200fps or 365ms). This is what actually defines "high explosives", they detonate faster than the speed of sound, so they use the air itself as their containment vessel. While low explosives like gun powder require something like a pipe to contain them and cause an explosion, otherwise they just burn.
@feth7747

this is less than 100kg of "explosives": A VERY NUCLEAR BLAST. ONLY nuclear blast causes earthquakes, only nuclear blast leaves a crater, much less on a reinforced concrete ground of a harbor, and only nuclear blast has an otherworldly speed expansion. Chemicals fertilizing can causes NOTHING This one about 5-10 kton, but unlike the Hiroshima, is outside the city and in the ground: if not, there would be thousands killed.

I remember watching this footage as a headline news item in the UK a few years ago. Small wonder people mistook the sight and impact of the detonation for a nuclear explosion. It resembles those 'iconic' pictures of the mushroom clouds over Hiroshima or Nagasaki - or all those de-classified images and clips posted onto KZread since 2005. Very dangerous in such a volatile area of the world - particularly when Israel is generally known to be a nuclear-armed state !

This is A VERY NUCLEAR BLAST, like Tianjin, is easy to see when you know how its works: the first clear sign is the otherworldly speed expansion of this blast: there is NOT exist chemicals explosives that can do this. Second: Chemicals blast dont make earthquakes of any kind, third: chemicals blast dont leaves any crater, much less on a reinforced concrete ground of a harbor, this is ridiculous, only the nuclear plasma ball literally evaporates everything and leaves a crater. Four: a milisecond brigh flash (difficult to see in this one because inside the hangar and at the day, but there is videos that you can see it, is seen too clearly in the Tianjin blast, because at nigh and open air). False flag ooeration
@feth7747
2 ай бұрын
You can see TONS of nuclear blast, and you will always see the water vapor of the compresed wave attach to them, and never on chemicals blast, only a miliseconds and in a very small area that surrounds the blast, because chemicals dont have by far the nuclear power, but people CANT see basic things like this and is very easy to see.

I think you might be referring to the overpressure as the air gets pushed away from the center of the blast at supersonic speeds. It's actually the white, dome looking part that first forms, and is comprised of moisture in the air being converted into vapor by the thermal friction. It's kinda like the cone/vapor trail that you see in fighter jets breaking the sound barrier. There's another vid on here that shows clouds being pushed away by this force. Another vid to see this phenomenon is the "Holy smokin' Toledos" volcano explosion vid.

The first sound is the Explosion-induced Earthquake, which propogates through the ground at about 20 times the speed of sound in air. The reason it's so quiet even though the explosion itself was underground is that, first, subsurface explosions only typically impart 1.5% of their energy into an Earthquake, and second, the ground is too dense to efficiently shake the air (600-9000 times denser than air depending on whether we're talking about wood, topsoil, concrete, stone, steel, or brass). Thus only about 1/100000th of the explosion can be transmitted to the air around the microphone via Earthquake. Whereas the actual air blast wave is much more efficient.

While low explosives like gun powder require something like a pipe to contain them and cause an explosion, otherwise they just burn.

this is less than 100kg of "explosives": A VERY NUCLEAR BLAST.
Oh, recovered and continued recording. Good one.
It's still unbelievable years on just watching these videos I can't imagine how it felt
0:15 that shockwave hits that black building and whoa 😦

set speed at 0.25 start watching from 0:13 and take a good look at the trees in the distance: you see the shockwave moving through the trees because the twisting leaves are exposing their darker side

Smart kid, he was like oh hell nah, his dad was like oh its ok... you can come... the kid knows.
When the shockwave hits, we hear "boooom" , a delay and then "crassssh". I think the second sound is the skyscrapers glass breaking from earlier. Crazy
He kept recording #respect
Humanity at large never learns from their past mistakes. They are doomed to repeat over and over. What a tragedy.
Well filmed. I am unsure if I would have been able to refocus after the shockwave, instincually I might have just noped out of there.
4.5 seconds from blast to Sound hits!!! Thats 1.485 meters away🫣 Pretty scary!!!!
При запоре, лучшее лекарство.
The handshaking. I feel I would be the same.

In times like this it is always best to resort to ayahs in the Quran. Surah 12:111 tells us the Quran is the answer to all things. Surah 5:21 and Surah 17:104 says how the Umma can have Salam in that region. Ameen.

Does the fact that the windows of the building are cracking more and more mean that the shock wave is approaching?
you can see how scared he got he begins to shake

I seen dozens of these videos and yet what got my attention is all the wires on the balcony. I have no clue what those could be for. In the US, people steal electricity and other utilities by linking into a neighbor’s lines. I can’t imagine that is limited to the US.

That was badass
