Get after it Scott, I was born naked and broke just like everyone. I run my business as a solo washer, and I am very happy with my life and business. I do at least 2 jobs every day or more, I have enough money and a good life. I don't need ten trucks and all that hassle. easy and comfortable, I am in business doing this for 8 years now, I started with $1850.00 and here I am with a nice rig and a big customer list. hard work is the only way to get what you want.

Well said. Success for me: I wake up every day happy, loved, and blessed. I go to bed at night knowing that I did the best job I could do,and when I can put a wow on a customer’s face, that is the ultimate success for me.

You don't need money to have a good successful life. If you have God in your life that's all the success we need.

I was just talking to my wife last night about buying something new for the business. But as I talked to her, I realized it was more of a want than a need. Success for me is the fact that I make my own schedule, I'm able to homeschool my kids and make a living at the same time.

Real talk. If your time is well spent, for you, that's all that matters. Success for me is being able to pay all bills, enjoy my game time, and end up on my own land that I make into my own home where I die, in my woods someday.

Just 2 yrs in myself , success for me is bills paid, being my own boss and time with the family when I want. As all of us are doing, I am trying to grow but not at the cost of the formentiuoned . Creeping towards that 60 yr old mark God, family, health and quality time are the most valueble things to me. Do wish I would have gotten into this business 30 yrs ago but hey it is what it is. . All my kids are grown. All on different paths and schedules. Id be glad to sit at dinner with them all catch up

Just started my business 2 months ago. Currently do pest control and have been in that industry for 14 years. Growing for another year off my current pest control customers and building my brand. Your kids will tell people in years to come that their dad picked them up from school everyday. That's what your kids will remember, not that their dad made $100,000 this year. When I was going through a divorce in 2015 I turned down a $75,000 pressure washing job just to spend the summer with my sons because they needed me the most then.

Hey Scott, I love the overall message here. Being content is important. I would push back a little where you said that it is your market holding you back. I don't personally see the utility in that mindset. At this moment in my life I believe it is better to say I am doing something wrong that's why I am not where I want to be. That way it gives you the control to improve and push towards your goals, vs giving up control to something like the market you are in. Just my 2 cents, you are older more successful and wiser than me, keep pushing you are doing great things!
