About the, “being bisexual is the new being Italian…”bit… It is funny as a joke but sad because so many people actually seriously think that. As a bisexual, I’ve been excluded by homosexuals on the basis of being “not gay enough for their club” and told I shouldn’t take the conversation of legalizing gay marriage and same sex activity that seriously because I can still have heterosexual relationships that are based off of genuine attraction. But when I have to hide the part of myself that’s attracted to the same sex and force myself not to act on my feelings of falling in love with another female or else I could be excluded from heterosexual circles that isn’t acceptance at all, is it? I’m also a mixed race kid, and I’ve got to tell you there’s a lot of parallels from when people say stuff about how I should, “pick a side” I’m too black for the white group, too white for the black group, too Hispanic for this or that group too native for this or that people and some people are annoyed that I list four different races when they ask me what I am instead of just picking one or two. I do eventually find people who either don’t care or think it’s really cool that I’m a mixed race bisexual non-binary person, but all of the unnecessary af crap I get for it every now and then is tiring.

I can really relate! I am so sorry, that those things are happening to you, too. I hate this partisan-thinking. "Not gay enough", "not black enough" ... it is just another form polarisation, that we definitely don't need. As a non-conforming amab, pan-sexual ... people don't allow me to be ANYTHING ... except the bad guy, the target, the scapegoat. For Most of society, I am "not man enough" ... but, if I do sth, say sth, that my male and female friends around me do or say as well, I often have to hear "typically male" ... and I even had to be cis-labeled ... even though, I am not too decided on that topic, either. I am literally not allowed to be ANYTHING at this point ... (yeah, I know, I am working on improving my friends circle ... and hoping, to find new and understanding people ... not people, that wanna exclude me, because they cannot get around the fact, that I am just human, as them.)

I’m bi and nb myself, I’m also in a queer marriage with a pansexual woman. And most interactions with new people we’re just labeled “the lesbians” and (no hate to any lesbians) I cringe every time I hear it. Back in high school when I had boyfriends I was told that I wasn’t actually into girls and I wasn’t actually bi because I’m with a guy now. I got both sides of that annoying argument and those people really can’t come up with anything better than “we’re faking it”. I mean they used to say that about being gay just a few decades ago. I think people like to forget that just like gender, sexuality is also a spectrum (they also like to forget that people make mixed babies🙄). We really can’t do anything but ignore the annoying people and educate others.

i started looking at the comments just to find someone talking about this. cause like yeah, it was funny and i get what its saying, but it also made me sad :/. joking about the validity of bisexuality when biphobic sentiment is still surprisingly mainstream in queer communities doesn't feel right
The one comedian talking about both him and his brother being gay reminded me of my family! My older brother is gay, I'm pansexual, my oldest son is bisexual, and my youngest daughter is a lesbian. Drives our mother/their grandmother crazy bc she's some devout Catholic who "prays" for all of us to not end up in hell hahaha 😂😂😂

My friends and I like to get together and make fun of homophobes and the things they say that don’t make sense for various reasons, like the show a lack of knowledge about something or contraindicated a different statement they made-stuff like that. One inside joke is that gay aids isn’t the same as straight aids-it’s gaids. So it’s okay to sleep around as a straight person because then you only get regular aids, but those same people like to say they don’t agree with the immoral “gay lifestyle” so if a gay person hits on the straight homophobe at a bar the straight person in my jokes is always like, “hissss-back ye devil beast! I don’t want to catch the gaids!” 😂🤣😂🤣

Isn’t it funny how instead of using your name the queerphobic people like to call you they/them. “She’s a they/them everyone. Let’s try to help they/them realize the error of their ways by randomly quoting scripture from the creation story. That should help they/them to not go to hell.” Or they be like, “oh no-she has pronouns!” Like they don’t know that literally everyone l-including heterosexual cisgender people no matter how homophobic they are-use pronouns every day. Oh! And my favorite-they/them doesn’t make me comfortable because we only use this pronouns for plural. And then literally that same day could be like, “has the pizza delivery person got here yet? I want to hand THEM a tip!” 😭 it’s sad but it’s funny at the same time!

Ashley Gavin's joke about putting lesbians in a compound with an electrified fence. Reminds me of a documentary I saw. There was a documentary about prison camps during World War 2. There was an elderly Gay Italian man telling a story about how Mussolini at the outbreak of the war, rounded them all up and put them on an island in the Mediterranean. He claimed that it was the best three years of his life. He Basically said, what's not to like, most of us were in our twenties, they left us with enough provisions for a year, and they left us alone on an island.

If you walk in love (which is to serve God and treat people like you want to be treated) and see your fellow Human about to doom themselves to destruction, let’s say, by putting a Rattlesnake in their sleeping bag and you don’t warn them, then that is not being a good person. If you warn them and they don’t listen, then it’s on them. It also makes them not have the ole “nobody ever told me” excuse when they give account for their lives in Judgment before the Throne.
