@@catharinrin i don't remember much of it but Jamaica formed an olympic level bobsledding team in the 1980s even though Jamaica is a tropical country and has no snow and.... no one there can bobsled. It was a huge deal back in the day and a hot topic of how cool it was that tropical nation athletes made it to Olympic level in a winter sport, so the joke was referencing that as the country's best sport even though it's not. I made my peace with it, since I'm an only child and very early caught on to her pattern since she couldn't play me as she may have if I had a sibling. I stood my ground when it came to most things from an early age and had my lifetime to assure it won't break me or mess me up severely in adulthood...that being bi thing was actually the only thing I wasn't able to...or felt to vulnerable about...to scared to get negative feedback

1. I keep seeing comments about how because the title of the video focuses on queer comedians, it doesn’t somehow still have the same standard of comedy required in today’s age. Whether or not you think a comedian is funny is your choice, but if a company decides to group comedians into any category for a video, what is the problem if the comedians have the same standard of comedy that other comedians experience? I.e. They could have said “Top Texan Comedians To Listen To Right Now”- would y’all be mad about that? 2. Straight, cis, and white comedians have been the majority experience in comedy. Let’s make some space for what all of us think is funny- not just a few of us. Just as you have your preference in comedy, I have mine. And that is to hear stories I can actually relate to- that’s what makes humans laugh and that’s what makes comedy so amazing.

@nikkigriffin08
3 жыл бұрын
@@JD-go2qj no actually it's not, a lot of the supposed anti-gay parts of the bible ppl see nowadays is bcz homophobic ass ppl translated it wrong and all of the parts except for 1, originally referred to pedophilia, but ya know all these churches keep getting caught up for leaders of the churches sexually abusing children so maybe it was equal parts their homophobia and self preservation that led them to mistranslate the bible, or I guess I should say incorrectly translate the bible AGAIN considering the original first line in the original bible said that it was a cardinal sin to translate it into any other language so any translation is technically a sin but they conveniently leave that part out. Also just bcz someone believes in God and Jesus and is what most would call a Christian, doesn't mean they believe in the entire bible or believe in the literal translation of the bible. I grew up Catholic then was a Benedictine Catholic for awhile until I realized that organized religion wasn't for me and became more spiritual than religious. Oh and I also have a wife and am pansexual, and my wife who is a lesbian, she grew up in the church like her dad was a deacon. We are both still believers in our lord and savior jesus christ as well as his father, God, but we both also understand the fact that the bible has been manipulated by ordinary sinful men, and parts of it have been missing since the 1400s, so obviously we take it with a grain of salt.
