Retroactively Bad Ending: Eliwood played and trained with Roy every day, yet Roy's FE6 stats were the best either could manage. Being Eligood is indeed suffering.

To be fair... It's not that Roy's stats are awful in the context of his own game (They're not great, but not bad either)- it's more that Roy not promoting up until near the VERY END OF THE GAME makes him just suck so badly once the rest of your army and enemies promote up until then. Especially since FE6 is the only GBA FE game with actually competent enemies, so Roy not promoting on time hurts extra bad.

@@somedude3820 Even when Roy does get blessed with good growths he's still a footlocked/swordlocked unit in a game that loves throwing a zillion Cavaliers, Pegasus Knights, Nomad Troopers, and Wyvern Riders at you. And it's very possible for Roy not to turn out in SPD or especially STR. He's not the worst Lord in the franchise -- that would be either FE11 Marth or EHM Eliwood -- but he's pretty close.

At least he's got a son. A son that only becomes actually busted near the VERY end of the game, but still a good mayn.

Personally… I tend to overgrind, so I had Lugh at level 15 before promotion and Roy at level 18… And we don’t mention all the killing edges it took to get Roy to that level

As an Eliwood fan, I always wished he got a better life than always being sick, losing his friends and wife. But at least he's alive for Roy ;; His older art didn't do him justice though

Oh no, i despise Roy with a passion, meanwhile i like Eliwood, he is a good man, a neat unit and still looks mighty fine at his 40+s... Sir Hector could have aged better, not change his class to general and kept Armads just in case some crazy wacko comes trying to kill everyone... again.

This makes his relationship with Roy all the more precious

Ah, some rare Eliwood content! Eliwood is probably my favorite lord in the series. There’s so much more too his character than initially meets the eye, and he kinda gets crapped on in the fandom 😔 at least he didn’t succumb to FE dad syndrome

Don't forget the part where he neglects to tell Roy anything about dragons or the warning Athos gave him. At least he's one FE dad that lives though.

Fr. He just rampages through the whole story without 1 hit-dying like his pathetic son.

Going from FE7 to FE6 is so jarring because almost everyone is dead or MIA due to not being created at time, most of their kids/relatvies don't know each other, the few survivors are old(er) men now and the war is treated dead serious so you don't get those downtime filler chapters like when its just the lord trio dealing with no name black fang villains and grinding supports

Why. Why was this recced to me. I have literally lived my whole life never knowing of this game. Until two days ago, when I decided to download some random games on my new laptop. I’ve just got attatched to the characters. Just this morning I watched as Eliwood’s father died in his arms. This afternoon I saw Lyn and Hector get closer and started low-key shipping them. And then I see this. _WHY?_

No matter what, I can see many ways for Lyn, even if she survives childbirth death (as I believe she is SUE'S mother as I am heavy, Lyn x Rath and Sue looks and acts ALOT like a mix of the two! Especially when it comes "TO THE WIND" which Lyn also kind of did), I can see her dying in one way or another (in the Sacae arc, there are traitors, especially from the tribe that was guarding their peoples Legendary Bow that sided with Bern as they saw them as the clear winner of the conflict! So she might have been slain by the backstab) No way Raven would abandon Lucius who was confirmed killed! So he likely died trying to protect him and the orphans who survived! Chad invoked his "thirst for revenge" as his motivations is getting back at Bern for Lucius death

Lyn is worse. She has overkill speed but she lacks the enough speed to double really fast enemies like Hector Hard Mode Valkyries due to being stuck to 20 speed until promotion + no speed after promotion and with bows in a game where they suck. Meanwhile Eliwood gains a horse and javelins in FE7 with better offense and bulk.

I am hoping beyond all hope that Lyn was not killed during the invasion of sacae. 😭

This is why we need an FE6 Lilina Hard Mode that's just Lilina trying to put together the pieces of the Lycean league and spearheading a revolution in Ilia, Sacae, and Bern after Narcian actually manages to kill Roy. Partly because I want to see my mans Lyndis, Lowen, Nino, Limstella, Fargus, and Nils again. Mostly because I could always use more Eligood suffering.

Project Ember is the only place where Eliwood is all that good, he goes from being so sick he can't take on level 1 fighters, to level 20 promoted knight lord with crazy base stats and weapons, we would be pretty surprised if FE12 Arran came back looking like FE11 Camus

Eliwood is my fav Lord in the FE series beside Seliph.

I’ve always wondered what Eliwood got sick with in FE6. The worst I could think of was probably TB when I was younger.

I think it was implied he was always sickly (hence how frail he kind of was in FE6) but because he was young, he was still able to move about and function properly! But he's at the age and in a setting where that sickness is likely to be "crippling" and at the worse moment to, because he wasn't there for Hector when he needed him like he was for him! (So I can see why he'd be DOUBLY depressed)

Eliwood is my second favorite character in FE, he's a cool guy that's gone through a whole lot. Here's another unfortunate fact involving him though. Eliwood can marry Fiora, Hector can marry Florina or Farina, and Roy can marry Lillina. Imagine how disappointed Eliwood would be if all those things happened

I think Eliwood dies at some point not to long after Binding Blade story concludes! So Cornelius Curse is still running strong! Just he's the first to die at the conclusion of the journey! But out of fairness that's life! The people you know do pass on before you! But at least he had his boy as the end of the video showed (Even Roy death quote is his lamination at failing everyone's expectations! I'm sure his father was the last thing on his mind as he "Faded into the ether" as all defeated units in FE suffer)

When I played Binding Blade I found Roy to be ultra weak, and while on my Blazing Sword playthrough Eliwood honestly had pretty good growths. His animations are also a lot smoother compared to his son's. All in all I had more fun usingg Eliwood compared to Roy (Though they were both kinda bad.)

They gave Roy bad bases, can't promote untill "KNEE DEEP IN THE GAME" they knew what they did with the Binding Blade as it's the only thing making Roy relevant! He DOESN'T have Leif's Support Bonuses he gives everyone because of how Support Bonuses work in FE5 so he can't even make up for his weakness like Leif does by his mere presence and Leadership star bonuses. And worse, because of how supports worked back then (only 5 supports per playthrough, meaning at best you'll have ONE A support and one B support! Unless you get greedy, then congrats, you have like five C supports which might as well be NOTHING as the bonus from C is meaningless later on compared to B and A!) If they remake! SLIGHTLY increase his bases by a +1 or so to keep him WEAK yes, but full of "potential" like what the story implies! BETTER His growths EXACTLY as the story also implied as he's suppose to be again "Full of potential" (I mean a character with bad bases, is suppose to have great growths to make up for it! Meaning you just have to baby for abit. But they knew what they were doing if they have a special Cutscene for DYING/LOSING IN THE TUTORIAL! And it still counting as a Game Over! What did Roy lose his nerve and stay home while everything went to heck or something?)

As we know from Eliwood and Ninian's paired ending, Ninian will die in the 20 years between FE 7 and FE 6. But how many exactly? Considering that Roy is 15 during FE 6 and he had to be breast feeded by Rebecca likely due to Ninian's abscense. Sadly we come to the conclusion that Eliwood did not get to be with the love of his life for more than 7 years at best

@@aggressivesplash2196 Plus taking this from Fates. I think it's implied he failed the coin toss on the potential of being a dragon! As Kana awakened from Corrin getting hurt, but any siblings they have have to use a Heart Seal and it's implied someone knowledgeable about their creation is needed to make it! In Fates case! Azura is that someone for Corrin and Kana, so also the sibling as well (Especially as that second sibling can be her son Shigure if Corrin and her get together!) I'm saying this as there had to be points where the Dragon Blood would start to effect him (Kana is young too when you "recruit them") so I doubt it really had ANY effect and he's a normal human....who might have a Dragon kid at some point in the line (I remembering the Branded from Ike/Micaiah game! They say some like Zelgius/BK just awakened to it when he had Beorc parents! Implying he had a Laguz in his bloodline at some point! Amazing when you remember he hails naturally from Daein, largely it's Lehran's influence he was able to rise in the Empire military while also being a general in the Daein army! His dual Identity is WEIRD in how he pulled it off so well as he did! Especially adding that Warp Powder fucking NERFS THE USER FOR A WHILE compared to the Warp Staff! Guess his Branded Privileges helped prevail....and why Ike is even awesomer for beating someone like that while being a plain normal Beorc!)

Idk dude, Eliwood is still a shitty unit, however I kinda like he has more conflict compared to previous Lords that aren't Sigurd or Leif, but I still think of him as a Marth 5.0 but now likes fucking lizards
