Orange hoodie was so right about American police. Obviously not all police are the same but the vast majority of the ones I've seen on video and in real life seem to escalate instead of deescalate. When it's genuinely a violent criminal it is much more understandable and it's definitely scary to be a cop in the US because of all the guns, but you will see cops turn nonviolent situations violent and then they wonder why the public has so much animosity towards them. But his niece sounds like a good one. Regardless over whether she does become an officer or not, I hope she will be able to help people like she wants to

​@@Jerry-Jardorc69Of course not all cops are killing people but in my personal experience (not watching videos but irl) cops are not always nice and when they're not, well they have a badge and a gun and qualified immunity to abuse you. I've lived and traveled all over the world. I've never experienced the ubiquitous oppression of the police like in the US. It's almost palpable. The amount of police in this country that just want to write a ticket (for $$$) or jam people up for no good reason is ridiculous. Also, in 18 countries the cops don't even carry guns.

The talk about language is actually pretty funny. Cause the English always seem to forget that its also a Germanic language. I do agree that the differences sometimes seem huge, specially spoken. The sounds and transformation it takes in pronunciation can make it seem like different words, but written down you can see the comparison. And there are a few Dutch words in the English language, but here most of those are phonetically, so they sound similar but written completely different. But you are also not wrong that the English has some french in it as well(as do we dutch have those). But the French is a Roman based language.

Man I wish I knew you were there, but seeing this as a dutch person makes the video even more fun. Great stuff

I damn eventhough this is easy content (exept the traveling) I can see this is actually made by someone that is trained to make videos / went to school. Great quality. I moved to Amsterdam when I was 19 because yolo ;). I got a job as an au pair for 4 months (the mother was having surgery), then handed out flyers for a pub (it was pre-internet), and finally got a job bartending. I met my husband, who was English, but had lived in Paris for years prior to our meeting. He played guitar and busked. I collected money for him and his friends (Amsterdam is the only place buskers have money collectors). It was an amazing time. We moved to Paris and London and traveled all over. I highly recommend Americans to just get out there and travel if you want to. Even if you don't have a solid plan. It's risky but that's what makes life fun, right? Australians have the best attitude towards traveling. In *every corner of the Earth* you will find Aussies. Traveling is simply part of their culture. Americans only seem to travel if they're in the military or for school or business, etc. Not for the pure joy of experiencing other cultures. Being a tourist and being a traveler are very different. Americans should travel more in their youth imo. Or not, if you can't act right. I got so much 💩 for being American because many of us do behave deplorably when on "vacation." Be a traveler, not a tourist. Side note: if you go to Amsterdam and you like music, make sure to go to Melkveg!
