trying to find where to patch in my monitor out cable. my monitor speakers.

I haven’t see the video but thanks I just get one for my mini band and I wasn’t able to set the monitor with the aux independent volume per channel they just never come out trough the aux channel, so I’m not sure really what’s the Chanel to connect a monitor

please, I want to ask. if i have a personal monitor mixer p16 and i have an analog mixer but i do not have a direct out . So what should I do ? .

I have a brand new SX3242FX. It sounds great. I love the built-in FX. I have a problem though. When I connect an external FX unit using the aux sends and returns the built-in FX are no longer audible. I cannot see why this would happen. They all have their own send and return knobs so why would the external FX override the internal ones? Can anyone help or advise? Thank you.

You are probably using the FX returns to return from your signal processor. Try using the channels 29/30 and 31/32 instead.

This mixer is not a very good choice for multitrack recording. It does not have direct outs.

You did not have any music playing out of your speakers. You had it on PFL mode, instead of solo or regular mode. You plugged your cord into the input section on the device you recorded it with.

The music you hear are coming directly from the Phones/Ctrl-room output of the mixer and is sent directly to the soundcard input. I wanted to show the routing to the monitor section. The meters on these mixers shows what is on the monitor bus, something that seems to confuse a lot of people. On most mixers these meters show the main mix.

You are confusing the Monitor Section with Aux Monitor Sends. The Aux Sends are for the musicians to hear what they are playing. The Monitor Section is for the Sound Technician to listen to the mix or separate channels when mixing. It also governs what is shown on the meters in the master section. It is also what you hear in the headphones.

I'm with you, dude. I tuned in to find out how to adjust monitor volume without affecting the main mix levels, but this guy wants to play word games instead of providing useful info.
