I've watched all Vlogs from the start of this series. Tonight's was on another level and even better with sound, thank you. I LOVED the clothes swap between you & P.J. Nice exposure of the brands you wear, fantastic alternative business deals - great advice and offer of using Bali B studio, loved the Mini-Cine too. Lovely thank you prezzy you gave your team. Does that mean it was you S.B. Driving that Mercedes over the ice in a snippet from ep1 or 2 of these vlogs? And it wasn't James Bond 😏🤣. Keep the positivity coming in these Vlogs. Great editing & Music on this one Will.👌. So, what else can you give us ? 🤔. A slow pan shot of all the book titles in the background of DOAC. And please let's see the research side of things. As for that emoji... 🙏 See you here next week 🙌 P.S. got my ticket for Liverpool 🙌

Steven, I am learning two things while watching you working behind the scenes. 1) No one becomes a successful entrepreneur without a dedicated team behind them, and 2) in order to create a dedicated team, the person in question should work with their team, making sure the work is challenging but fun, rather than placing themselves above everyone else and expecting those below you to do all the hard lifting while you reap the rewards. Oh, and a third thing: reward your team as well as you can. You are blessed to be able to reward your team with an all-expenses-paid trip to an international destination for a skiing holiday. How refreshing it is to see someone sharing his wealth with those who helped him make it. What an incredible roll model you are.

BTD Feedback: Love: You’ve found your pace of editing - the fast paced edits keep attention grabbing & keeps the pace of the story, whilst the regular speed conversations bring us into the room with Stephen. The storytelling style of videography (setting the scene with a variety of drone shots, keeping the camera on people faces when they say intentional/purposeful things and intentional B-Roll that provides contextual information for the audience). Creative Edits - the ability to flow through Stephens digital calendar & showing us videos/photos/articles of what is being mentioned so we can have a deeper understanding on the conversations. Sound and engineering is exquisite - the mix of raw sound and the soundtrack with intentional “clicks”, “taps” & “bells”. Improvements: Inconsistencies on the detail - unfortunately the standard has been set with high attention to detail and it’s now an expectation, so when you miss things (eg. Not putting the brand of jewellery that Stephen is wearing in the dragons den changing room) and decide to gloss over it, it appears sloppy. This has also happened in previous videos, with details being mention then being ignored in post. Lastly, it feels like you’re still figuring out the reason behind the videos - are we deep diving into important parts of his schedule (like a daily KZreadr vlog) or are doing a fast paced overview of his week. It feels like week by week it changes and sometimes the story gets lost within a video when you start of with a fast paced overview then slow down into a deep dive. Both of these are fun to watch, informational and engaging though. Will is a legend and the editing team is solid (you all are absolute masters to be able to turn all that raw footage into the artistic vlog we watch every week) x 🧢

Honestly, the vlogs keep getting better every week. Hats off to Will for his great work on this. Here is my feedback: What would I change? - Learning more about the people behind Steven Bartlett. Who is the DOAC team and what are their personal stories? Also, who are the people behind the companies you invest in? - I believe, through my own experience, that mentorship can change the trajectory of someone's life. Would love to see more behind the scenes of Steven's interactions with mentees. What do I love? - Seeing more of the Dragons Den behind the scenes and post-investment meetings. This episode was the best so far for this and is starting to hit my previous point on mentor x mentee interactions. - The moments of humor (i.e. swapping jackets with Peter and mimicking each other). Unfortunately, we are often distracted by work and become overly serious. Seeing successful entrepreneurs being people and embracing fun is just as inspiring as what they do professionally. Finally, my entry for the emoji competition: 🚀 Excited for more vlogs and hopefully the opportunity to talk to you soon, Steven!

Love, love, love the show. Especially how it’s so raw and we see glimpses of you working. One change I’d make is just having someone quality check the text that’s displayed. For example, when you met with the cacao entrepreneurs, the word ‘episode’ was spelt wrong. I’ve noticed it in other episodes as well. But that is such a minor thing and I love spending my Sunday evenings watching your content. Thank you for making my Sunday evenings 😊

I decided to comment on this episode because I truly enjoy what you guys are doing with this channel. I’ve been following this channel since the first episode, and I’m the type of viewer that rarely comments on a video, but I've gotten so much entertainment and knowledge out of the past 5 months of videos. Seeing behind the scenes of the podcast and Steven’s work life is so insightful and interesting. Through the podcast, I’ve already gained some knowledge, and this channel is the cherry on top for me. What I overall really like is that every, now weekly, vlog has an overarching theme that gets discussed throughout the video so that you guys are able to mix entertainment and knowledge depending on what the viewer is looking for. In terms of storytelling, it ties the video together. The funny moments that are spread throughout the video are the perfect way to lighten up the video. What I truly enjoyed over anything else in the vlogs are the segments where the podcast guest comes in and sits down, and we see the conversations before and after the video. Personally, I feel like, even though it sounds weird, it makes the guest and Steven more reachable or more „normal." I guess it has to do with the nature of the recording of the vlog compared to the podcast episodes. In the podcast, the viewer knows they’re watching a video. But with the vlog, the camera is handheld and from the pov of someone really behind the scenes, and this, I’d say, makes it more immersive. I like the length of the videos, and I think keeping them around 30 to 45 minutes is the optimal length. Now, regarding this specific video,. The theme of this video was very cool and interesting. The Dragons Den is something that no one just vlogs about, at least, so naturally there’re a lot of questions around it. Taking the question of what happens after the den to the business was a really good choice. Aside from being a popular question, it gives brands a better chance of reaching new people. What I also really like are the motion graphics like chats, DMs, Google searches, and Stevens Google Calendar. The only thing to consider, in my opinion, is that the callouts for people working in your companies have very complicated-looking motion graphics that are stunning, don't get me wrong, but compared to the rest of the video, they are a bit overkill since all the other texts, animation, motion graphics, etc. are held very simply. That's probably just my taste, but I thought I’d write it down. Btw, the animation about Perfect Ted I really liked, which I would not call simple! Another thing I like is when Steven talks about his thoughts about something that happened before in the video. (25:35) It gives great insight. "Will you subscribe?“ is a perfect call to action. Some things to maybe consider The „coming up“ in the middle of the video I’d put at the beginning. It could act as a mental check list for the viewer of all the highlights in the video. Then, when watching the video and a highlight from the beginning comes up, it’s like ticking off something on a to-do list. For example, now I know why Will took a golden book from the shelf, but what is up with the boarding pass? I’m going to watch further. I’d put it at the beginning because then there’s this ongoing thought process throughout the video. What you could do is leave Steven’s intro at the beginning, but right after that, put "coming up“ with all the highlights from the vlog. There’re sometimes errors in the video, like missing animations or editing faults, that, with another watch, would get caught. But there’s nothing else that comes to mind right now to improve. To end my lengthy comment, I have a concept for future videos that I think could be interesting. A portrait of a person working for DOAC. Quick, like a 2-minute segment where they can explain what they do and who they are. Like the segment with Smyly, Steven’s driver. I think it would be very interesting to get to know the people working for Steven and what their job is. And for the emoji I’m going to take my favorite animal 🐼 Please keep up the good work, and I’m already excited for the next video!

So I finally got the time to watch the new episode, loved it as always. So interesting to see behind the scenes of Dragons Den and to see the opportunities you give to young and talented people. Would love to see everything in person, even if it would just be for an hour. Honestly this is a huge inspiration for me every time I watch the videos I feel for power to achieve the goals I’ve set myself! Much love from Germany❤️

This vlog/channel Behind The Diary bangs simply because of how real it is. It's raw, unscripted. We've always known you're brilliant from your interviews with people on DOAC but seeing you engage with your team and fans shows your heart and how empathetic you are. And that bit about not wearing a suit everyday , refreshing. 😊❤😌

And about the learning experience this video has been. Wow! Completely amazing. It is my first full DAOC video that I watched. I watch Dragons Den for years now, and I am entrepreneur myself. What hit me the most was the Peacock and Salesman story. I have been envisioning that and preaching with my wife and team, but didn’t have this clear idea and explanation for it. Also the deal about posting every day a quote and the results simple consistency can make. Amazing. So what I liked the most is definitely hearing those spontaneous answers on real business/life problems that entrepreneurs ask you. As I believe that many can relate and strongly benefit from them. So, more meetings on camera please. :) Also seeing after stories and behind the scenes development of the companies you invested in, as we never had this opportunity with DDs companies. Great stuff, this is what we (BIG FANS) have waited for many years! Another thing is taking us trough your day and watching interactions with your team. I would suggest even little bit more into how you function with your team. Some bits that could be helpful for us to implement with our team. Operations, scheduling your day etc. Loved it, took a notes, learned much needed thesis and am waiting for the new one! Hopefully my emoji wins, already posted it. 😎

I loved the behind the scenes of this episode, seeing how people’s life’s have changed from the den is incredible. Something I would love to see more of is as a big whoop fan, I would love to see how these days affect your strain, recovery and stress levels, I’m addicted to mine and I’m fascinated how busy work schedules affect these stats. Keep up the work!

Hi steven and the DOAC team! I'm loving the mix of personal blogging from you and having someone film you. The mix of showing us the pitches and you talking to the entrepreneurs was also really interesting. Also the behind the scenes with the Matcha brand. I would like to see more business and thoughts like that (door sales man vs peacock, or how you looked for a quote every day) I'm a muralist/artist running my business for the first time so I'm trying to soak in as much information on how I can be better. I'm sure a lot of us are entrepreneurs of some sort so thank you for giving us something to not only learn from but get excited about why we do what we do

You are amazing! I’m happy for the channel’s growth and despite the big audience, you still make the videos feel very personal and special. 👏 I would like to see more of the decisions you say no to, hear more of the failures you have gone through, because it almost seems like whatever you do, you nail it perfectly! Whoever comes up to talk to you, you are always there to answer their questions with a perfect advice, whatever investment you do, looks like a huge success. I liked hearing about how you acted after the argument you had, and turned it into a wise quote. There’s so much to learn and that’s why I never miss an episode of the podcast and the videos here! 🖤

brilliant show and getting to see the journey behind the Den with the people you invest in is such an added value piece! we all enjoy what you and the DOAC team do but there are so many layers to uncover and seeing behind the den piece was great! As always the edit on these are on point and it gives us enough insight into your daily life but leaving enough for us to want to continue to watch and to want to know more because at the end of the day, we all have people we look up to in the business world and seeing people like you leading from the front can only inspire even younger generations to see a bigger world out there behind that school desk we start from and the different environments that influence our way of thinking.....dragged or driven...sometimes I feel for the school system, education is great but it didn't inspire me to be ambitious or want to do more and that came later in life for me....dragged or driven..I was definitely dragged through school but now driven in later life! I think everyone would like to get to know your teams even more and the driving force behind you, DOAC and the other companies you own, invest in or support!
