Behind the Scenes of the Thailand YouTube Life

I interview Chris Parker on what it's like being a KZreadr in Thailand. Chris discusses the obstacles creators must overcome and the skills needed to be successful on KZread. Chris shares his personal experiences on the highs and lows of content creation as well as how he deals with internet trolls in this interview. It was a pleasure to have interviewed Chris. I learned a lot from this one.

This may be one of the best videos you have ever made😃. Interviewing Chris makes it interesting --- Chris is so humble but as a young man I have faith that you too will get there too. I am so close to having everything sold in the US and I will be getting over to Thailand -- I hope someday to be able to meet you. I felt your emotion on camera, and it was inspiring content. Thank You

You are absolutely right: Find people older than you who inspire you, whom you respect and who encourage you to improve yourself and Chris is exactly that person. I've been watching his stuff for almost two years and eventually found your channel as a result. What Chris said about your channel getting better and better is also absolutely right. Your skills as an interviewer continue to improve. My Japanese wife and I are 98 days from our leap into retirement on Koh Samui. After 19 years in Japan it's time for this Irish/American to get off the hamster wheel and see what adventure life has in store next! Can't wait and look forward to running into you. -Ed

Hi Pete. I & I am sure many others don't think that the video was messy at all. I really like part of the conversation where you he talked about making videos that you like versus "chasing views". I agree with Chris that you should make videos that you like versus making videos that you think are going to get the most views. Personally I think that some of you best videos have been the videos where you take the path least travelled in Thailand to talk to locals or where you give history about areas of Thailand. Your recent trend of interviews has been really good also. I am like you in the sense that I like to try to learn from others. Sometimes you can learn a lot from people you don't personally like. The old adage that you can learn from other peoples mistakes. Interviewing has a lot to do with the questions you ask & listening but also questioning the people on the answer they have provided. My main point is that you should continue to do videos on topics that you want & not try to make videos you think others will like. People generally are attracted to you as a person. If people like you for who you are then I think they will generally like what you do. I'll be quite frank. I often ask my self why people like me. I try to be a good person & treat others the way I want to be treated but I think I can be abrasive because I give brutally honest answers & that's also because I want brutal honesty in return. Life is to short to be around people that are that aren't going to honest with you or around people who aren't going to treat you the same as you treat them. Keep plugging away. You're doing great & it shows by the amount of subscribers you have gained over time.

Chris is talented and makes good videos. He is not “awkward” but very annoying that loves his own face on the screen. This is my troll of the day, tnx.

Hi Pete. I notice you mentioned the video you made about the Thai person who saved 1000s of lives on the Death Railway. Just to say it is on my - next-to-watch list. I love history and I love Thailand - so really looking forward to watching this. Well done - don't let the doubters get you down - you are doing a geat job.
