The scene when Claudia is told that she will play a child for the next 50 years epitomizes the phrase there is “no trust among thieves”! She was seeking wholeness, possibly happiness from a group of killers/vampires🧛‍♀…..it was never gonna happen🤷🏽‍♀

Claudia diary comment on the Paris vampires makes more sense in context of her loving the vampires in the episode now, since towards the end of the episode, the Paris vampires are clearly mocking her "younger" status

I'm pretty sure season three was greenlit but for some reason they haven't announced it yet, it makes no sense how they keep talking about all these plans they have for spin-offs for them to go and cancel the main show.

I mean the main reason Rolin wanted to do this show, other than being a massive fan of the books, is to adapt specifically The Vampire Lestat, which will be S3 and possibly 4 (if they continue to split each book into two seasons) and they're already setting up the next season, and Rolin himself is already hyped about it. AND AMC themselves have stated that they're looking at 10 seasons, at least. As in they're hoping for. They're also looking to do a Telamasca spin-off, and if it still is going to happen (which that one we really don't know) a spin-off show with Armand and Daniel, Armands "Night Island". Also, not for nothing but they're giving Mayfair a 2nd season and show is crap, so 🤷🏽‍♀ All that to say, there's simply too many people behind the scenes who want S3 to happen, for it to be cancelled after this season. I just don't see AMC scrapping the heart of the Immortal Universe now. 😉👌🏽

The dynamics of all the characters in this ep! ❤❤ Daniel and the new character ( Raglan?), Daniel and Armand, Armand and the old coven, Armand and Lestat, Armand and Louis, Louis and Dreamstat, Louis and Claudia, Claudia and Santiago, Armand and Santiago, Claudia and the coven. Omgg there were so many amazing scenes and Assad Zaman is doing such a great job! Its so true that who is telling the story is so important-- I still feel like Armand is so mysterious. My heart is breaking for Louis and Claudia bc I just feel like they are in so much danger, especially Claudia. Will be rewatching for sure! ❤

Once again Lestat was prescient in that the old world vampires were much worse than he is and that they wouldn't be very nice to Claudia. The change of demeanor in Claudia from excitement and wonder to downright dismay and horror was great acting by Delainey. The coven is clearly mocking her for being a child vampire. This will only lead to tragedy. I wish Claudia had met vampires that weren't amoral douchebags like Marius and other ancients.

Lestat was always protecting his own interests. But he cared for Claudia to a certain point, no Claudia, no Louis. He never told them about the other vampires because he knew how deranged and self centered they can be - he himself is pretty much the same. That is why so many (older) vampires are fascinated with Louis ... he still feels something, they on the other hand are empty automatons just following a scripted choreography.

My excitement for epsidoe 4, when we see more Claudia, and how she has her own creepy fans. And her looking like a doll in the blue dress. But my heart is hurting for her because she wanted to be treated as a woman, not a child. And I cant wait to see Madeleine. Again, this season is superb!❤❤❤

Loved this episode. Lestat bringing the "brat" to Brat Prince. Loved how they are talking about POV being important. Whose story do we believe, Louis, Claudia, Armand's or Lestat's so far. . . And Armand showing his powers and Lestat wanting to learn those powers and using Armand to learn them and then leave. Ben Daniels glamouring the actors, and his winks. Daniel and the Talamasca. Heartbreak for Claudia who is going to play a child for their new play and the look on her face. . . Lestat warned them about the ancient vampires, and they are playing these young ones.

Lord,I'm so behind, I've got to binge watch.❤❤🧛🏿🧛‍♂️🧛‍♀️

As someone who's only seen the original interview, i just know the season finale is going to be rough. It feels like a noose that is slowly getting tighter as we get closer to it. I'm not ready.

Yes, I feel the same way. I hated the fact that they had to replace the other actress because of Avatar. After watching the 1994 movie I was sure I would despise any other attempt to adapt those novels, but this show was like a gut punch. Like QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, it does it's own thing, repetitive stuff is so unnecessary and dull ... but certain people will b*tch no matter what the creators do, if they do a 1:1 adaptation, it's boring, if they are more innovative in their approach, they are not respecting the source material - SHOOT ME!!!

This episode was absolutely amazing ❤ The snippets we got of The Vampire Lestat were great and made me more excited for a Season 3. Even if they were from Armand's POV, which I'll say is not entirely trustworthy, haha. I'm so excited for Episode 4 as I wonder what the coven will think once they know that Armand did not kill Louis.

I like how people like to talk crap about religion when the government also demands obedience. The government forces you to pay them to work. They tell you how to raise your children. The 1994 movie did a better job with the coven. All the vampires felt so dull & empty that I could actually understand why Armand wanted to get away from them no matter what. But in this series it is Armand who is so boring, I ignore scenes with him completely. Yes, he is a master manipulator and there is more to him - but I really don't care for him or Louis anymore. Lestat is nasty, Lestat is cruel, Lestat is a effing psycho ... yet he manages to entertain. Louis reminds me of the show BABY REINDEER, certain people are like magnets for emotional and unstable leeches.

I am wondering (sorry, I have to comment again) if Lestat is in Paris now, BUT he is prisoned by Armand in the dungeon. In the book, in Lestat POV, he goes to Paris because he thinks Armand can help him regain his energy. But Armand got effin mad that he rejected him again, and just want to use him. So, being petty Armand (but I love him still), he tortured him and made him act in front of Louis when Santiago is sentencing them. I don't know if the tv show is going to go that route (I hope so), but I am hoping that will happen. And we get to see Lestat being sad of Claudia's death because he was holding Claudia's dress and was sad that it happened. I hope we see at least Lestat mourning his "daughter." This season will break me, and I love it!❤

If I remember correctly, Lestat, because of who turned him, was physically stronger than Armand. Also because Armand was a young teenager upon being turned. This is an interesting change indeed.

Please when will season two be available in the uk?😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I was worried that Armand was going to kill Louis until he started touching Louis's hair. He can't keep his hands off him like Lestat. Is anyone surprised that Louis invited Armand upstairs after telling him about his history with Lestat and Claudia not living for long? I wonder if Louis's motive is to seduce Armand to convince him not to tell the coven to kill Claudia. Do you think Armand really loves Louis or is he using him to get to Lestat? I know Lestat rejected him and I wonder if he sees Louis as a prize. On a side note, Louis did not look like he was into that kiss lol

What's the use of going through this facade? Claudia reminds me of Tommy from Goodfellas going to "be made" but was whacked instead. Then after going over the "vampire laws", Claudia and Louis have already transgressed and violated seemingly the worst of the laws. Im grateful to see that Armond after so long has developed humility and exercises great discipline so far. All still narcissists with great power sitting around wasting that power on junior high school desires. It's like watching Batman with a vast wealth of knowledge and resources to "help" law enforcement perpetuate/ battle petty street crimes instead of going after elite level war crimes domestic and abroad.

See, the people that arranged for this to be rebooted, are most likely psychopaths. This is another Anne rice adaptation, just like queen of the damned (the inspiration for twilight). They were obsessed with Aaliyah, and they wanted to repeat their games with some of her relatives. The character Bella is apparently based on an African American female, that would explain what was going on at my high school.

It is too bad the actress playing doesn't look younger to give you the adolescent feel for being trapped young forever. However I am still enjoying and felt her horror seeing that damn dress!!!

You do know they have changed her age. She's a teen in this show? And she does look young, but as you see, Claudia wears makeup to look "mature." And the Delainey is young too, the same age as Bailey. And to be honest, the actors, Sam, and Jacob aren't young too to be playing Lestat and Louis because they should be in their young 20's, but the actors are in their mid 30's. I really dont care, as long as they act good and are a good version of their characters, I support them.

And we all know how black actresses, with darker complextion get hated on. And she does look like a teen, and she is the same age range as Bailey. And to be honest Bailey look more in her early 20's than a teen. And frankly, I don't care about their appearance, I look at their performance, and Delaniey's version of Claudia is perfect.

Delainey is literally one of the most phenomenal actresses I have ever seen but that doesn't change the fact that we fell in love with Bailey first. If I had my way I wouldn't hesitate to have Bailey playing Claudia in Season 2. Shaming people and trying to make it about something else is wrong. People have a right to have their preferences.

Lestat played armand that’s so messed up

claudia was 5 in the books and you can see her pain beeing trap in the toddler body but in here 14 girl that looks 16 with makeup it just doesn't look realistic. shame😢

I think it's hard to find an 5-8 year old actor who would manage to play such a difficult character as Claudia. Tho Kirsten Dunst was 12 and brilliantly played a part, I think it's a bit more complicated now to hire a minor to act than it was in 90's. Plus giving that Armand isn't a teenager in the series, I think it's fine. Of course there's missing a shock value to it like in the book or even movie but the tragedy of the character remains. And she (both actresses) delivers amazing performance

Season 2 is boring. I am sick of them focusing on the past and not only in the present modern day. I hate the little girl's character and she should have been killed off like in the movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.

This whole tv series is just SO STUPID.... The characters are nothing like how they're described in the book, and they've taken too many liberties with the storyline. And the Talamasca??? In "Interview"??? How ridiculous.... They're just destroying what made these stories so GOOD!!!!

Aw man, this show is just another day at the zoo. More crap being thrown around.

The new casting for this role really takes you out of it, because she doesn't look anything remotely like a kid. Sure she's short, but she doesn't come off as a prepubescent child who's been turned into a vampire.

Neither did Bailey. I think Delainey’s portrayal is actually more believable to me because of her acting choices. The fact Delainey only had three days to prepare for the role because of Bailey’s sudden departure, I’m more impressed.

I LOVE that we get to see Armand full power, flinging Lestat like he is nothing but a bug, it was awesome! I was a bit hurt that he didnt join the stage in the last episode, like in the book because that was one of my favorite scene in the book, but this episode make up for it! I love it! I was rooting for Armand, after what Lestat did with Louis and Claudia, it was a good feeling to see him being bullied by a powerful vampire! I love this episode, and it surprises me, this episode made me like tv version of Lestat more because it was so accurate to the book of him (I love Lestat in the books), especially him trolling the vampires with the cross, I laughed at that part, that's what Lestat in the book would've done to Armand's coven! Armand and Lestat scene in this episode was gold! And my sweet Claudia, she is too desperate to belong, to be love even when she knows joining the covenant will be dangerous. I cried in the end because of Louis and how he is so broken because of what Lestat did to him. And when he told Armand to say to Claudia eveyday that she is beautiful, I cried, I just want to hug him so bad! The episodes keep getting better and better! I really prefer season two than one, this season is it!!!!❤❤❤ I cant wait to see the next episode.❤❤❤

Lmao Lestat is more powerful than Armand (and better as a person), all you see is armand's fanfiction

I know the last three episodes will be effin insane and heartbreaking. I am ready for Lestat, real Lestat (not Lestat in Louis's mind) to make his appearance infront of Louis and Claudia once again, in Paris, like in the book! Santiago starting s***** up, Armand beytraying Louis, and Claudia's death, which I know will make me cry, not to mention Louis's revenge on them, which will be awesome, and I will cheer him on, I am effin here for it! Watching season two is like me reading the book, unlike season one, which I didnt like. Sorry, I just have to comment again. This season is going to break me.
