Behind The Design: Bird's Beak Paring Knife | Made In Cookware
Join us in the Made In Kitchen to go behind the design on Made In’s new Bird’s Beak Paring Knife. Also known as a tourné knife in French kitchens, the Bird's Beak Paring Knife is a unique and versatile knife designed for precision and speed. Its distinctive bird's beak shape and curved tip make it ideal for quickly and precisely trimming vegetables and creating intricate designs. The thin blade allows for fine cuts, hulling, coring, and peeling, while the weight distribution ensures maximum leverage and agility. This knife is a game changer for chefs and home cooks looking to save time, reduce waste, and replace multiple kitchen tools with a single powerful tool.

Ok ok, I need this.
I saw this on the bear!
Damn I NEEED one of these!
Would be nice to know how to sharpen such a knife. A regular wetstone won`t do due to the shape of the blade.

I agree, I was about to ask the same question! Maintenance and sharpening are critical factors for knives too!

A round or half round stone or diamond rod. Or a dowel wrapped with emory cloth.
I'm SUPER curious about how to best use this great looking tool!
Pinch grip, pro tip!
Tell me more 😮
is the blade the same on both sides or is it right-handed?

Hi! Conceptually sharpened in the same fashion, but can’t really do on a whetstone due to its curved blade. Here is a video on how you can DIY a tool to sharpen: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYipp8yOetDNndY.htmlsi=D-5f7JZYgNPW8Ok8
Want and need asap. But what color? decisions, decisions....
