Probably because Horan is extremely capable so they don’t want to dump her. She’ll almost certainly be captain soon enough though.

This was so well done from beginning to end!! 1. Emily Sonnett killed that intro tour of the city. I love her personality. 2. I aways love hearing Girma's story. Her family is incredible, as is she. 3. Crispin Wilondja at the refugee school seems like such an amazing human being. His closing comments about the team had me beaming. What a beautiful opportunity he is providing for those girls. 4. I did not realize the stadium was that nice! What a dream to visit! 5. Shaw, we love you. That is all. 6. So happy Smith is back in her swing. 7. Nahaer is just everything. She is the GOAT. 8. I hope everyone else just thinks "Emily Fox for America 🎶" when they see Foxy. 9. I grew to really love Twila. I am so happy she got this experience. She did a great job with her job as interum. 10. Amazing job, team USA

Pretty sure Smith ended that "who's the 9, smith or Morgan" debate with that Canada game...Sophia Smith is the USWNT starting 9

I agree. Cat is by far the most talented, gifted player on the team. Once she’s fully healthy the 9 position is hers much like before her injury.

Sophia hasn't done well any time she has started at the 9. It's smarter to start Alex and sub Sophia in as a game changer.

These were incredible games. So glad to see the USWNT playing in such good form. Also, that call against Crystal Dunn in the Canada game was real BS. That was clear the first time I saw it, but seeing it from this angle it’s even more clear. That was not a foul.
