As a man, I was normally interested in men's sports, but few year ago, I found the thrill of women's sports and suddenly I became "glued to women's sports" and NOBODY can make me change my mind ! Even, many of my friends are now into the same trend. I do NOT miss college softball, soccer (football), tennis... Women are a bread apart because they normally play as ladies (most of them), and to me, this is the charm that attracts me. AND BESIDES THIS... THEY SHOULD BE PAID AT THE SAME SCALE AS MEN...!!!

They actually get paid more, considering the womens leagues and world cup isn't as popular world wide. It's as simple as this, the more popular it gets the more sponsership and advertising revenue it draws and all that will equate to more money rolling in, so then the players will get paid better. In terms of revenue coming in through womans soccer, players are getting paid three times the scale of what a male soccer player is getting paid. So think before you decide that women are being treated unfairly, they are actually getting paid very well all things considered. Money doesn't grow on trees, it must be raised through incoming advertisers and sponsership, same as every other sport. Womens soccer is still a growing sport and from what I've seen, it's growing in leaps and bounds so give it time, viewership and popularity doesn't happen overnight.

agreed, the team is so close to each other, awesome cohesion...bonus, it put Rose between Tobin and the camera, Heath ever thinking tactically. My favorite goal of the tournament (unbelievable that it could be other than Lavelle's in the final) was the Press against England. Heath's through ball was classic, so simple so deadly, and Lavelle's dummy was sheer brilliance (the whole team has in the moment instincts that are off the charts) O'Hara's cross and the header...what a team. Some comment on the lack of competition, it is not born out by how hard USWNT works for their success.

👏YES IT IS! You are 💯 right. As a woman who used to play competitive softball all years of secondary school and even at university, and was named an All American twice, my fav coach, who believe it or not had the incredible real name Coach Striker (how cool of a name is that? 🤣), always called it “the ten second rule”. And she applied it to every aspect of the game. If you mess up in a game, think about the mistake for ten seconds, let it go, put your head back in the game and fight, cause nothing is over yet. Then ten seconds after celebrating a win/mourning a loss, put your head back in the game and fight. Any time teammates are pissed at other teammates, they get to yell about it for ten seconds, then the both of them have to come back together and get in the game, TOGETHER, and fight TOGETHER. Lastly, the very next time you show up for training, think for ten seconds about what you want to improve in your game including what you messed up in the game before and your teammate yelled at you for ten seconds before, then get in there and fight until you improve that skill or mental component. Surprisingly, it was a rule that was always really important for me to remember after WINNING. People who don’t play competitive sports don’t usually understand how winning and playing really well can sometimes be a curse. Because mentally and physically you can start to go lax on your training and your mentality switches. You can also start to believe you’re own hype. And think you don’t need to keep at it as hard in training and preparation. Which of course, is utter bullocks. It’s the ten second rule that reminds you to celebrate for “ten” seconds, then get yourself right back to what got you there in the first place, and work just as hard as always. Coach Striker taught me that and so much more; about the game, about teamwork, about life. The brilliant Coach Striker, who for many was like a surrogate Mom, passed away from cancer about 5 years ago. But the ten second rule is something that I’ve used in my life on and off the field, something I still use to this day, 20 years later. Best of all things to you, good luck and keep shaking it off, then getting right back and playing as hard as you can!! That mentality will serve you well on and off the field, the rest of your life. 👍

I disagree with people going in on them celebrating a 13-0 win. Its a competition. You're playing to win. Not only is it a physical race, but it's mental as well. If you score, let the other team know they screwed up, but be respectful in the end no matter the scoreline.

I'm pretty sure that the England coach at that time didnt say that:) The coach that they have ' now ' was the coach of the Dutch team in the final. She also won the Euros with the Netherlands and England. That England team , since she took over , is currently undefeated , has beaten every previous winner of the WC , the Euros , and the Olympics. So it doesnt matter which team England have to face in Australia , they do not fear anyone. Respect 4 or 5 teams, but not fear. Depending on results, it is possible that England could go into the knockout stages with a 29-4-0 record. The Usa have recently lost to England , Spain , and Germany.

This marshmallow culture we live in now needs to stop equating “bullying” with “competitiveness”. When a team earns a win or title by working and playing hard, and the team is excited about that and celebrates it, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE BULLIES OR DISRESPECTFUL OF THE OTHER TEAM. IT MEANS THEY ARE DEDICATED PLAYERS AND LOVE THEIR TEAM AND THEIR SPORT, AND ARE PROUD OF WHAT THEY’VE JUST ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. It’s enough with the hate already. Haters need to shut their face 🤣😂 Paraphrasing what the late, great Mohammed Ali used to say: if your results back up what your saying, you’re not boasting or bragging, you’re just telling the truth.

the issue everyone has wasnt that they were bragging it was the celebrating after they scored playing hard and attacking i agree dont let up keep playing. but once they got to 5 goals they couldve toned down the celebrating ok maybe not 5 maybe after 7 definitely after 10 they couldve acted like theyve been there before.twhat if the score was turned would you be saying the same thing for thailand ? no you would be madder than a pet racoon. and im a proud american

The Spain game was the only really close game. We were unable to score in normal playmaking and we got lucky getting to PKs for us. Even the players admitted it on this video. The rest of the games we were just better than our opponents.

It's just ridiculous to me when people argue about who's better, faster or stronger in sports men or women. Even to compare them is idiotic and stupid. Women are just as patriotic as men representing their country in any sport. Why is it that the same people don't write or say anything about men celebrating but when women do it they've gone too far. These people in the media and political talking heads should be lined up in front of firing squads for politicizing the U.S women's soccer team for profit and political gain and it's sad that these women are being ridiculed, mocked, scorned and taunted because of these selfish assholes. Whether you're a man or a woman you will always get my support and respect for representing this great country of ours regardless of what other people think.

Can't help but notice how they didn't show the phantom penalty given to the US for the 2nd goal in the Spain game, nor the real one that wasn't given to Spain. Really took away from that game. Would have been nice if the refs/FIFA would have let the players decide the game.
