Dawn Champion - Really enjoy your brutal honesty about these wheels you test. Your honesty about the ET Max is especially helpful. Great work! Can’t till Leme and Marty get you the EB GT Pro to review. Will EB’s stellar acceleration curve from the Commander Pro show up on the GT Pro? Can’t wait to see.

I still want to test and see the low voltage behavior. This test is what flushed out the 84v low voltage error of the Commander Pro so they could fix that before production units were shipped.

also if the wheel battery is 168v, i am assuming that is max voltage. 168v is 40 in series so 144v is 50%. 0% is dependent on what the manufacturer and bms considers "safe" but we can assume 120v is quit low edit: if you know the max voltage, you can divide it by 4.2 to get the number of cells in series. then you can use this to find the 50% and other values. 3.6 is 50% times 40 for instance gives 144v. 3.0 is 0% i believe which is 120v

11:10 Given what happened in Australia with the rider losing his life, I just want to dissect this part of the ride for a bit of a safety PSA. I appreciate that Dawn slowed down to 18 mph for oncoming bikers on a bike trail... we ALL need to do this... but I would suggest we EUC riders slow down further in advance of groups of oncoming riders. Why? Look at this particular setup. You've got rails right next to the trail, you've got a group of bicycles who may not be paying attention and may not be expecting someone to be approaching so fast from the opposite side. Now lets say one of those bicycles isn't paying attention or can't see past the person in front of them, and decides to randomly pull into the oncoming lane to pass or have a chat with another rider. Dawn would be in the process of slowing down but would now need to make an emergency swerve. Where's she gonna go? Maybe she threads the needle between the bike and the rail, or maybe she overcorrects and swerves right into the railing or a post. Maybe she clips her foot on the bike who may be moving to the left and not in a straight line, and now she's flying face first to the right into the railing / post. 18mph seems like an innocuous speed, but going head first into a rigid unmoving structure at that speed, helmet or not, you're gonna be knocked out or worse. Not saying anything's wrong with the 18 mph speed, but I think we need to think in terms of giving oncoming traffic time to see us and react to us. Approaching them at 1.5 - 2x the speed they're used to and then slowing down just as you get to them may not give them enough time to spot you. Also a reason I'd advocate that riders start using blinking lights during the day. Blinking lights get peoples attention, even in the daytime.

You have achieved a long list of successful test rides, that many would yearn for. From your test rides, which was the easiest adjustment time and highest speed achieved? Thx

I have the patton, and I ve learn to ride with one stiff leg that is use as accel/brake leg... and the other leg is the steering...not really putting weight on this one...exept hard brake/accel... and turns. I never get any wobble. i think a suspension wheel doesnt need "bent knees" technic on the street I think the one you ride in this video is suspension less tho.. The fact that the control of the wheel is solid on 1 leg remove the possibility for wobble. I can ride on 1 leg if I want, doesnt do a difference in my riding on straight lines. I only apply little weight on my "steering leg" when turning, with the tip of my toes. So no wobble on fast turns. I learned this from a youtuber, but I cant remember which one, but he change completely how I use to ride, on 2 legs

Hey Dawn, there is a lot of margin between 300psi (which is what Marty has set this wheel when you first got it) and no air. Apparently this suspension is great if set around 150psi for a 200lbs rider. You can also adjust compression and rebound. Please try again with different settings and tell us.

This is worrisome, as ET Max is the beginning for 168v wheels and its this heavy. We are still waiting for the 3600 Wh and 4800+ Wh wheels. Still have a garbage suspension for "4th gen" home grown suspension and it flopped on the price.

In 1 second, you are traveling 25 meter when going 90km/h. That's the length of a typical full size recreational swimming pool. 1 second distraction is all you need to kill somebody. It would be safer for everyone involved if you do speed runs on roads rather than on multi-purpose paths where people come out with children and pets.
