Seriously this was perfect! I'm in beginners drawing courses right now and as a way of practice I try and do cartoons and simple drawings to send to friends as picture replies to texts. Your guidelines for this horse's head was a perfect beginners lesson for me. I find that guidelines were something that really confused me into frustration when I started learning - I appreciated that you made mention that they would soon look like a horse. Again - thanks!

I really appreciate you making this and similar tutorials. My son, now 6 years old, once said to me: "Dad. I want to learn to draw like a pro." "So do I", I answered, jokingly. I then showed her the methods I learned from "How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way" and he used it to draw a pretty convincing upper torso drawing of Venom, a character from Spider-Man comic he wanted to draw. It was pretty convincing, for a drawing from a 5 year old! Later, he drew a full body drawing of Spidey. We also drew Earthworm Jim, following a KZread video tutorial. He's a quick learner. Your tutorials are just the type of videos he could benefit from. So, thanks. And I'm glad I found your channel.

I love seeing how others break down how they start a drawing. Usually it's circles and squares and such....I just find it amazing that simple shapes end up being a beautiful piece of art. 😇

Hiya Harriet like you I love horses,I rode the last time last summer but due to osteoarthritis at 64 I can no longer ride,but will never forget that last gallop along the beach🤗 I was told to self isolate due to another illness so I was in the house from March 23rd to 9th June,my son bought me pencils,paints etc (bless him❤️) So during that time I have created some very scary stuff, lol 🤣 But today I came across you and already done the horses head and low and behold it looked like a horse😲I gave it a much longer mane and forelock so it looks like a pony I had called Playbox, tomorrow I will be doing a horse I also had called Popcorn. You really are a very good teacher,very calming and telling me not to worry if my circle isn't spot on,I have spent the evening watching your videos and am looking forward to drawing all the animals....many thanks Mags,💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

the flash (the other nose band) dose not go in the horses mouth in goes all the way around the horses nose like the other nose band. but other than that it is great!
