Thank you Graham for your KZread videos! My Dad bought me my 1st Omega enlarger when I was 12 and I'm not 62. I love photography and I love the FZ300. I learn new things from all your videos, so keep doing them! Also, I purchased your Users Guide from Amazon and have found it to be very useful.

Hi, Graham. First of all, I want to say that I do not have English, that I apologize for the bad writing and use of the English language. The issue is this: I have a FZ80 (55mm) and I am interested in buying the Polaroid 250d kit, which is not available in 55mm ... so I would like to know if I would not have problems to buy the Polaroid 250d in 58mm and some adapter of ring .. I thought it was a problem because the adapter ring created a space between the lens of the night and the lens of the camera. Thank you very much for your attention! I wait your answer!

im of the opinion that UV filters should be on every lens regardless. It does protect and its just a good idea to have one in general. Cuts a lot of excess glare and casts and you just get better images in general. I shoot a lot of digital and film cameras still and I always use the filters.

Thank you Mr. Graham. I had followed all your FZ200 videos. All of your video are extremely helpful. Any Telephoto Lens for FZ300? I want to upgrade my FZ200 with FZ300, is it worthy as my FZ200 is too old. My only consideration is Bird photography.

Graham,I have found myself needing some good advice about what camera to own. First I am a real fan of the Lumix line of cameras. My first was the FZ200, then followed by the FZ2000, G7 and now the GX85. I also own a LX10 for pocket type shooting. My heart wants a GX8 since I have the 12x35mm 2.8, 25 1.8 and the 14x140mm that was the kit lens for the G7 when purchased. Fifteen years ago I shot a Mamiya RZ and a Bronica 645, so I know what large sensors can produce. I am 74 years old and have early Parkinson tremors in my right hand. My GX85 seems to work extremely well with the IBIS in camera and lens.I try to get out at least once a week to photograph landscape mostly. I send my good shots to my Facebook page for my friends to view. If we travel I often put together an 8x10 photo book. I no longer print shots any larger than 11x14.I really like the looks of the FZ300. Has many features I wanted on the GX8, but a very small sensor. I would sell off my GX85 and lens and keep the LX10. Will the small sensor be a problem for 11x14 or smaller prints and Facebook? Please let me know what you think? Is my heart getting in the way of a good decision? Many thanks,David

What I say about the FZ300/330 camera is that if you use it with the range f2.8-f4 and ISO 100-200 then if the exposure is good the results from out of camera JPEGs are easily printed at a4 size or on Facebook (which will down res them anyway) If you want better control then obviously shoot RAW + JPEG and if the image that you want can be improved by RAW processing you have that file available. Landscape photography should allow you the time for setting up the camera (and tripod if needed) to get those exposure conditions. Bracketed exposure for those situations where dynamic range is beyond one exposure will also help.

Hello Graham, thank you that was very helpful for my use of the FZ 300. When I received my new camera I attached without any doubts my old 52 mm Filter from HOYA Skylight 1B to secure the lens. But I was very disapointed of some results in deep sunlight or lower light in the woods. Some photos appeared as beeing nor sharp and I hat doubts if the focus system in my camera was not working properly. I saw that the results of my usually used "always in pocket camera" Sony HX 50V are sharper. In your video you recommended not to use UV filters in order to protect the lens cause all the possible negative advantages and failiures and that those filters came of course from the time of chemical films. Also I remembered that the FZ 300 ist weather sealed. So why protect the lens more than with the the lens hood? So I took off my filter and received at once better results than ever. Another failiure was probably the set of shutter priority. Now for the first time my new FZ 300 could beat my Sony HX 50V. Thank you very much!

Yes the filters do degrade image quality, even the best have some degree of contrast loss. The ND and circular polariser filters - especially the cheaper ones can really make image very soft. Thanks for your comments.

Finally got to view this KZread, Graham! Quite helpful. It seems that the Polaroid D might be the simplest for cose up. Question: Do you have a KZread on Back Button focus for the FZ-300 or is the same as yours on FZ-200?

Graham, is it true that the longest time exposure the fz300 can achieve is 60 seconds? If this is correct, from a practical standpoint, what is the "densest" ND filter needed for mid-day, time exposures of 60 seconds?
