When doubling a recipe, is it ok to double the liquid or use a little less? In my experience doubling the liquid gives a sticky dough.

yes when you double a recipe you would double everything. and the ratio of ingredients will remain the same therefor the end result should be the same no matter how many times of a recipe you're doing

I’ve used all purpose in my bread rolls but they always come out dense and heavy is the reason why because it’s all purpose and not bread flour?

hi there there's a few reasons why the bread might be dense, 1. the dough is not knead enough 2. the dough was too dry to start with it might just need more liquid 3. the dough was under-proved or over-proved , hope this helps!
