The inside pages were good, little pale but still readable but the cover was weary. I don't have a problem with getting old book but they should've mentioned it at least somewhere. Pls tell me that how can we check whether the book that we are going to order is old or used in Amazon.

Don't care if it's pirated or not as long as they are in readable condition. As a book lover, i prefer the accuracy of the book's content. If the content is sabotaged or compromised, I shall talk to Flipkart/ Amazon's customer care then only. Also I'm always in a budget. Hence knowing that I will recieve a pirated version only, I ordered Harry Potter 's book set just at Rs 1400 from Amazon. If I get torned pages or missing pages between, i will raise my voice then only.

If material is not missing then fine with pireted..It's cheap cost..Apne ko padhne se matlb hai ..

There’s a lockdown going on where I live and all bookshops are closed… ordering books from Amazon for flipkart just gives me so much anxiety that what if I bought a pirated copy

As a beginner i started collecting and reading books and as i didnt had that money i went for cheap books I had no idea what pirated is and most of my books turned out to be pirated And i am stuck with them...But hey atleast i learned to choose wisely

I think it doesn't matter if you are getting a cheap pirated book . Only content matters. I also buy books in low price even though I like to want a book with good quality . But it's ok if content is same.

haha the fact that my copies of a thousand splendid suns and to kill a mockingbird are also pirated!😂 also I'm pretty sure my biggest regret is the fact that a thousand splendid suns, which is one of my favourite books EVER is missing around 40 freaking pages. 🙂💔

Quite agree with you. If you're an extensive reader, it's quite easy to spot the differences in a pirated copy versus the original. A new book being sold at dirt cheap price? Always a red flag.

Maybe pirated books are wrong to purchase the author didn't earn much if we purchase pirated but the thing is me as a student pov we didn't have that much of money so we can't purchase most of all orginal books so now we only had 2 option either buy the 2nd hand original books pr pirated but ... 2nd hand books are not in well condition sometimes and we can't persever them for long doesn't matter how much we care of that book so i prefer pirated because its budgetable and can preserve them much longer for re-read in future as well thank you if anyone not agree with me its ok its your pov and i had mine thank you for reading ❤️

Lol...Samee..I also ordered It ends with us..and I'm in doubt that if it is pirated or not..bcz I is from a famous publisher..but I loved thee book to the core..so that doesn't matter !

If you get a pirated book with that much affordable price then it's worth the money right...and we'll get the same stuff as in the original book..so just have it...And if you can afford a big sum of price then go for it...

After seeing this video I headed straight to my bookshelf and checked each and every book that I own for it's emboss effect in cover page, page quality , alignment etc 😂😂 and I'm like ok....mmm..fine so atleast 20 percentage of my books are actually pirated copies🙄🙄 then I kept saying this - issok girl the story was good so don't whine about this , just be careful during your next purchase 😅 thanks girl♥️

Bruhhhhh...it hurtsss when you bought your first book for which you were craving for monthsss is pirated..I mean I bought It Ends with us, Ugly love and November 9 by Collen Hoover at just Rs.478 on Amazon...like yeahhh.. ofcourse I went for cheap and when I got that Ugly love and November 9 were in good condition..but It Ends with us's cover was not aligned correctly...I felt so bad that the book I wanted to read the most is not in good condition..although the pages were good..but they were see-through..and luckily there were no pages or paragraphs missing..and the publisher was quite famous But jo bhi ho..after I read the book..these things didn't mattered to me..like I loved the book soo much that..the cover didn't matter ❤️

Ohhh a video that is close to my heart😂😂. I had the misfortune of buying some pirated copy but in the excitement of getting a bestseller which is worth Rs 500 for just Rs 100 or 150, it felt fishy but still somehow I ended up buying them😂😂. Your videos just make my day(given that I had an awful one😂😂).

How to make friends and influence people.. This book on Amazon is in 3 colours i.e. white, red and yellow I ordered the yellow one..as it was mentioned as bestsellers and the price was only 99 rupees wheres the red one is of 156... So how would i know which of the book from the three is original? Is yellow or white one pirated ??

Flipkart or Amazon are always best for books at best discounts. Or go dariyaganj to buy

Another way to buy cheap books is to await sales in bookstores like Crosswords, Landmark, Sapna, Bargain Book Hut etc. They usually have sales a few times a year where they list original books from 30% to 70% discount. I have purchased several books like that in the last couple of years. That way, you get to buy original books from proper stores at really cheap and affordable rates.

i don't really mind pirated books as long as i am able to read it and if there are some parts missing i just download the book online and read those parts : P : )

Then you have no idea how much loss does the author and publisher faces because of counterfeit books! Which many like you are happy to garner at cheap, Just put yourself under the shoes of the author and publisher and use your own intellect.

Definitely not and actually the person who makes those copies gets benefited ... and also it is illegal Also we are not in America and not every Indian author is Stephen king to sell million copies within first few weeks ... only few read books in our country and only few books come to the sight of people who buys books ... There are many authors who are full time writers just dependent on their book sales and there are many blooming publishing houses who just started to publish the books ... Pls dont buy pirated copies especially our Indian author books .... Nowadays it isnt easy to just download read a pdf of any book coz many websites are now blocked by many countries ... Also u cant get the perfect readable font in pdf which makes it difficult to read in pdfs.

It affects the authors and publishers but it's ok if you can't afford them after all they have the same thing inside, but still.

OMG， I never knows there are pirated books. I used to get cheap books online and some look bit printed with flaw but they do have publishing details. Are those pirated books? Or just miss-printed books that publishers try to get rid of?

I know how pirated book are not great but the one she showed of To kill a mockingbird isn't that bad... I have that it's not like the pirated books... thats why she kept on showing the inside of thousand splendid sun... Khalid Hosseini being my fav author I have bought the pirated books and that wasn't great...

Where to buy original books? It will be helpful if booktubers suggest the site to buy good copy. I have just began reading 2 yrs back and till now i bought some 40 books.. Just now after watching all videos related to this i found there is a thing called pirated and after checking all my book except some 10 books all others are pirated... Its very saddening to have all those... What should i do with that, 🙃🙈 I was happy when i bought them for cheaper price then.. Only now i understand this 🙃

Bought about 20 books from Flipkart. Not a single one is pirated.🌝 But I announced bankruptcy few days later 😌

Once, I ordered Meluha from Flipkart! And guess what it was a pirated one. The binding was fragile, the pages were thin af but tbh this didn't bother me much. But after a fraction of second my happiness was ruined to see that texts in them are printed over lines as alignment issue. I literally cried, man! :')

People even sell pirated books at the original book price online which is really really sad

I hate pirated books. I have 2-3 pirated books on my shelf which I have never touched after keeping them in the shelf. There's no way that I am going to read them.

I had hardly thought about why my book's text fading.Then i found this video. When I watching this video I looked to my bookshelf. My all book obeyed every rule of pirate😅. There are more than 20 books. Worthmorthan 6000 + thousands😢

Is there a difference between mass market paperbacks and pirated books? PS : My HP books are pirated(or atleast mass market).. I wish to replace them when I grow up and start earning.. although I might get emotionally attached to these particular ones and never replace them ever Also.. an unrelated question.
