I really like your idea here for using a jelly roll. In looking at your finished top, however, I got to wondering what would happen if the stripes on the bottom half of the quilt were turned so that they were going horizontally? I tried it and it turned out amazing. There weren't nearly as many seams to match up. If a person wanted a more balanced look though they could divide the horizontal strips and put half of them at the top and half of them at the bottom. Without watching your video I would never have thought of doing that. Thanks.

Thank you for this free pattern. I just finished sewing all the blocks for a queen size which is my first quilt. Wow, I learned so much. Enjoying the whole process. I’m not sure how this will play out but I’m loving it!
