Hello, Recently, a friend told us that she is allergic to several metals, which is why she does not wear bracelets. I thought back to my high school years and decided to research friendship bracelets. You were listed on one tutorial as an excellent teacher to beginners. Thank you ! As someone who is hard of hearing, I suggest that you lower the volume on your background music so it is easier for ppl like me to hear what you are saying. Blessings!

kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIxnra6ddc3YlNI.html That's the most popular way to do it, but the just of it is doing square knots on the ties of the bracelet

this is how i do it: first, flip the loop over your bracelet and pull half of the bracelet through the loop. next, put the extra thread through the loop that you created and tighten the sliding knot. then, tie a knot about an inch away from the sliding knot. the sliding knot will pull along the extra thread and the knot at the end will keep the knot from sliding off. 😊

Omg I feel so glad you've posted this! I've been feeling hopeless about friendship bracelets because of how my threads make it so hard for me to do them (my best ones are with DK knitting yarn because of the thickness, but the bracelets look fragile and fluffy we) but this video has reminded me to keep trying to find new threads and to keep pushing onwards because soon, I'll be as good as you guys! Thank you so much Masha!!

using size 3 crochet thread might be an idea? - it's thicker than embroidery floss but it's fairly tightly twisted and smooth. which might make it easier to practice with since it's in-between yarn and floss sort of

The KZread algorithm recomended me this video and I'm so hyped up right now! 🤩 I did simple friendship bracelets when I was about 10-12 years old and I remember the only good resource for learning to do the bracelets and look for inspiration were books and printed instructions as the internet wasn't such a big part of our lives back then. Now that I watched your video I want to look up nice patterns and tutorials to start doing friendship bracelets again ✨ Thank you for such an informative and great video!!!

Great video! I’m not really a beginner but I still picked up a few tips & I’ll definitely refer my friends how want to start making bracelets to this video, since I’m not a very good teacher lol. There is one thing I wanted to say about choosing colors, you can think about a character you like, and choose a color scheme inspired by them ( Ex: if you like captain america, you could do silver, red, blue, navy, and white) This also can work for photos or artwork you like. I like to do this so I just thought it might help someone else :) **edit for grammar**

I've only just started making friendship bracelets, but I have some of the metallic threads, and I find that to prevent the strings coming apart, smudge a bit of pva glue on the end as soon as it is cut and it holds the ends of the thread together so it doesn't fray and come apart. It only takes a few minutes to dry and I do this for every thread I have that tends to fray and come apart a lot.

However, just as I was making the last knots and looking for a good way to tie it, I realized I did it all in single knots!!! I'm not re-doing it, and it's visually and structurally sound. However I have 1/3 of leftover string, since I used less than intended. Good to know it can be useful!

With thread like embroidery floss I tie a simple knot as close to the end as I can. I find that it helps to keep the thread from unraveling.
