Slight correction: some of the blocks in my test course had decayed a tiny bit in the few minutes while building it. Metal is left with 37 HP, not 14 --- still a very small amount, but you may have to use a couple extra bullets. The same principle applies though. The test with the armored 1x1 was done straight away, and still came in under 22 rockets.

This is solid info that players (inexperienced or veteran) can put to use in both raiding, and planning against raids. Quick little guides like this are awesome, and you should do more of em ♥

@@incognito6815 49 Satchels and stand as close to them as possible. One thing this video didn't talk about is bounce damage, satchel explo damage will bounce off you if you stand right in front of it.

Almost everyone raids doors rocket + ammo, but I dont see many ppl raid walls like this. Me personally I had no idea you can splash 6 walls with a rocket, so thanks for the video.

Yeah, that was my biggest takeaway from this video as well. Once this info spreads enough it could mean those 5x5s with 3x3 inner peakdowns are done for. Just crack the bottom 2 floors entirely open with one go, and if it's armored it'd be just 30 rockets for opening 12 rooms (excluding costs to get from outside into the peakdown ring ofc).

Hopefully they expand building and raiding over time. Blocks or deployables that might help mitigate splash or rockets might make c4 a requirement. Newer variants of rockets, launchers and things like that would open up a vast array of possibilities when peeling the lids off bases at 3:00am, and protection to make that difficult would be a must. Depending on things I could potentially see a 4th tier of shit going into some very high tech, specially considering that we have power. More fortification for the cost of a higher tech level would definitely help out with the need to either have a fuckall clan base, or 8 million small bunkers across the map.

I never shot down at the foundation lvl, but up betwen walls. Can easy take down 4 walls. Always a good idea to check with hammer to find a sweet spot.

Thelen here. Great summary vid!!! I don't disagree with the facts, and I think saying you can deduct 1 or 2 rockets total cost from most bases is correct. BUT, one does not simply take away 1 rocket and substitute in the required explo for 'free'. For example, in bases with a lot of garage doors that aren't splashable (say the raid path wraps around the core and up/down levels etc), the use of weapon and durability should be considered. 10 garage doors is 30 rockets on their own, or 20 rockets + I think 400 explo (I think your plugin might have rounded up slightly, but its circa 400). 400 explo is a lot of weapon durability, and time as well to shoot reload and especially repair (presumably outside the base unless someone left a repair bench easily accessible), to the extent I'm not sure what number I would call a 10-garage-door-to-TC base raid cost, but it isn't: Raid cost: 20 rockets (and some explo) which would be opposite of Tronan, in terms of under exaggerating ;)

Just learned that trap doors are the same as metal doors health wise from you! But that got me thinking if you can roof stack why not roof stack trap doors? Wouldn’t you be able to fit a super strong trap door in a small area because of roof stacking?

horizontal/vertical embrasure takes flame damage and can be burned, it makes no sense but works and I find lgf easier to obtain than gp even so it's costs depend on if you can make the flames stick. If you got flame rockets it's getting even cheaper.

So quick question, at what point does the effect of diminishing returns come into play, in your opinion? In terms of the actual time spent while raiding having to explo ammo out a wall/door to continue to not be worth the sulfur saved to just rocket it out. For e.g spending an extra 15 seconds using explo ammo to destroy something to what you could have done instantly with a rocket, which while saving resources, also allows the defenders more time to prep for your breach into the base and possibly allow for them to counter and make the saving in resources pointless. Would really like to hear your thoughts on which walls/doors are not worth attempting this cost saving measure on? Thanks :D

We discuss this at length in EZ discord. Read my fairly larger comment ~7hrs ago. Another comparison, 10 sheet doors is actually only 10 rockets and 60 explo. Easily better to use explo rather than another 10 rockets :)

It's often much faster to just explo with a second gun than it is to reload another rocket.

Great video but I feel like you are oversimplifying it a bit when it comes to explo since the gun durability mostly is a fairly vonsiderable portion of the cost of raiding with explo

can you break 4walls with a c4 if you place it in the middel

Also if you don’t have explo ammo with you and got only c4 and rockets you can throw one c4 and shoot a rocket at a garage door enough to destroy it
