Being that I just started off with bass last year, this video is a great refresher! You should make more "introduction" and "beginner" videos like this. I appreciate your helpful tutorials. :) Keep up the good work! Slap on!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate these beginner videos! The fact that you are making these videos IN ADDITION to the content available on your Patreon really shows that you want to help everyone learn.

Thanks so much for being one of the people who got me into bass. I have been playing bass for about 4 months now, and been loving every second of it.

As a beginning bassist I just want to say thank you so much for the content you’ve been uploading! It’s absolutely overwhelming to sift through all the content on YT to find out what’s going to give the best long term results and since you’re my favorite bassist and one of my favorite musicians in general it makes it very easy to trust your content and so much less overwhelming. So thank you! ❤️🖤

I love all your videos. Although most of them are things that I already know, I still see them and feel like I learned something new. Nice work Charles. I hope to one day be as better as you with my bass... 🤜🤛

Charles, this is truly a great lesson to beginners! I hope that more and more kids will understand the power of BASS and pick up this amasing instrument! By the way, could you please do another lesson about composing (especially using tapping, cuz I don't know how to use this to make beautiful basslines like you do (e.g. in your part in Jared Dines' shred collab 6)). Thank you!

Hey Charles, if you could make some "exercise play along videos" that would be so great since its my favourite way to practice and you are the best!

The rule "Having the strap-length for comfortable sitting and standing" is REALLY useful! For me, the body of the bass just rests between my legs, for a more upright position.

Bass guitar is a lovely instrument, but learning it now is a bit like taking up banjo in 1930: a case of declining opportunities for players who want to perform in working jazz groups. So make sure you really love it, as upright seems to be in much greater demand at this time.
