good job i think being water cooled it will work just fine , my mate when fitting liners to vincents used to turn the barrel upside down and cool the flange first in a shallow dish of cold water it helps to pull the flange tight agains the barrel then let the rest cool in air

It does not matter what you do, however the sleeve must always maintain a thickness of .250 or larger. If the sleeve is any thinner than .250 then it will not work for racing. To imagine this think of what happens when you heat steel. The sleeve when it heats has no way to remain round and hold its own shape. And at a thickness less than .250 cannot keep its round shape and will fail.

.250 thou thats 1/4 inch lots of engines have thin wall liners and run ok its water cooled and has a flange on top so its going nowhere

salut sama penempatan blok yg posisi tmb pantat blok di atas..sangat tepat sekali.krena posisi itu bisa mempengaruhi hasil bagus tidaknya polesan.dan tepat mmudahkan pengecekan liner piston dri atas.sehingga bisa akurat pemolesan kelonggaran blok liner..mantap..saya mrkanik jarang menemukan proses yg begini..di daerahku.di ksih masukan katanya menggururi..karena hargs blok mahal.salah kolter bisa jekit klo empat tak ngebol.yg di salahin mekaniknya.pdahah salah proses kolternya..mantap gan.jempol.

But, if the block re-sleeveing when you want to oversize the piston just machine the block, not replace the whole block.

Isn’t there an issue with these barrels as standard with early wear or oil consumption due barrel / piston wear? If so perhaps a traditional iron liner and less extreme slipper piston with give a longer service life.

Tiap ngebul beli satu set. Kalo pengguna sepeda motor yg memliki tipe mesin diasil silinder yg paham pasti pilih di bos kayak gini sih. Kelebihan nya kalo udah ngebul ga beli satu set, kedepannya kalo ngebul tinggal beli piston aja langsung korter. Lebih irit biaya untuk kedepannya, pengalaman sendiri aja 😁

Never saw honing with sand paper... If you sleeve a cylinder you need more clearance between the cylinder and the piston. I think this will not last long and because of the combination it is running worse than original. Wouldn't spend that money.

40 000-50 000km but i go with 30 and set the valve clearance every 20 000km

i have piaggio liberty 125cc .. i bought it new 0000 .. i ride it from 2016 to now may 2024 for 73560 km and still the standard cylinder with standard piston .. i changed 3 times the timing chain and once the belt and rollers .. the rest is standard i change oil 5w40 every 8000 km with oil filter and air filter

Yes, it's true that Yamaha came with Diasil, but here if it's damaged, we will replace it with a new cylinder made of iron, only the inside we insert the inner liner.

because the reason is more durable, easy to repair if later damaged again. although it releases heat more slowly than the original. good luck

Di kota saya Solo, kalo tanem liner di boring NMax, kalo pake kualitas yg terbaik bisa kena sampe 400rb an.. sama kayak beli boring baru.. 😅 cuman keuntungannya, kalau kedepan piston kena lagi, tinggal oversize aja.. ngga perlu beli boring lagi.. tinggal di kolter..

pasti tidak gan. baja di banding diasil lbh bagus diasil,keramik atau yg lain tergantung pabrikan. lbh murah kalau rusak karena tinggal ganti piston ring yg pasti nya
