Truly ASTONISHING movie!! 🐺 😮 I watched it a few times already and I loved your attention to detail. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite movie directors in KZread -your content is very high quality, smart, and beautifully directed. It's clear you respect your audience and are focusing in making nuanced movies, very different from everything else I have seen in KZread. Jesus, you even got real wolves and crows in this short -you don't even see those anymore in Hollywood movies! Please keep making and directing more!😊

That Pacific north west forest figure is sooo creepy! I love how its humid with water drops falling from its skull. And the wolf growl that comes off screen as the camera is on the figure is very eerie, for a moment I thought the growl was coming from it! I also appreciate it was done with materials you could find in a forest (a deer skull, moss, branches), but it also has a piece of cloth, which makes me think the figure is man-made. Maybe by someone who was trapped in there like the man from the movie? And if yes, they clearly had a motivation to build that thing. So, I'm wondering, what was that motivation? Protection, an offering, or is that thing connected to what is happening?

Can I praise you on two things: 1: it’s pretty good how you use coverage the right way. Most of the time I see new filmmakers do that mistake of shooting the same scene from 100 angles. Your shots are more precise and you pick the shots that the story needs. 2) I like how you let the story discover itself and no big exposition dialogue or over explaining. You treat film as a visual medium and you let the story tell itself. Anyways good job. Sorry for the big paragraphs It’s just as a screenwriter I hate telling people they over write or under write their films. So for the first time in a while I’m giving happy notes. Lol

Another master piece, truly impressive. You really do a great job in playing with the audience and creating a mounting sense of dread and suspense, reaching a fever pitch that is truly terrifying. The psychological characterization of a person who is accidentally trapped within absolute cosmic madness is executed flawlessly. It honestly reminds me of weird fiction, and it's also a bit Lovecraftian in its portrayal. Those eerie wolves, the uncanny statue, the creepy wet forest, the chase amongst the doppelgangers, and the multiple gunshots left me trembling by the end of it. I like how your opening card at the beginning really describes what happens in the movie: the doppelgangers became each others wolves. I find it fascinating that as soon as the protagonist killed one of them (adopting the hunter role), he then started being chased by another doppelganger himself (thus, he is now the hunted). I read the document you created which is linked in your video description. Based on what Harris Maybridge experienced, it seems a person multiplies upon entering the forest, hunting each other so those creatures resembling wolves can eat them. I loved it, keep up the amazing work!

  • @silverfito23

You're mentioning so many good points! It does indeed feel very weird fiction/Lovecraftian! 😮 And yes, the hunter became the hunted...it definitely connects with the intro card at the beginning of the movie, of man is no man but a wolf to a stranger. Each of them became each other's wolves, connecting so nicely with the wolves motif in the movie (which clearly these are hidden monsters, judging by the end of the movie...that wolf transformed into a monster since the creepy roar alluded to that). Maybe that forest statue is a representation of those that died, considering it is a deer skull (like you said, the hunted). So these men/strangers are wolves until they kill someone, and once they do...they become the deer of another wolf/stranger 🤔😮. I think that statue is a symbol of death, that this man is going to die like a deer. But who made that statue? Was it Harris Maybridge or someone else?...This movie is brilliant, I can't get it out of my head! 😅

Absolutely incredible!! 🐺 This is high quality movie making. I read the link to your report in your movie description -that's really cool you made a fictitious report to complement this movie by focusing in the Harris Maybridge incident, which is the dead guy's ID. It gives it more perspective, as it confirms this forest is being inhabitanted by supernatural creatures that seem to be camouflaging as wolves (judging by the creature sounds and cracking throughout the movie, especially the monster roar at the end!!). Seeing all those copies of the male protagonist was crazy! Which according to your link report, was the same event that Harris saw but with hmself. Im going to be mulling this one over for a while 😀

  • @silverfito23

I completely agree! Those are not wolves, but hidden creatures/monsters! 😮 Not sure if they all are monsters though. The wolf at the beginning felt like a real wolf since it acted like one, but the one that was facing the protagonist clearly wasn't a real wolf. Which makes me think of the phrase "a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing", this is a twist on that phrase because these are monsters dressed in wolves' clothing.
