Thank you for recognising their talent! For almost two decades, they Bee Gees were mocked and ridiculed due to the anti disco movement. For those two decades radio stations and dj's outright refused to play anything by the Bee Gees. Most never even took the time to listen to the new songs. The were blocked completely by the radios. After those two decades people slowly to respect the Bee Gees again, and recognized their talent. So I think it's awsome that a new generation is discovering them again. And that they are enjoying their music. I feel in this era many music is just volatile. Just a pretty face and autotune make for easy hits these days, and while you can still enjoy that, it just doesn't age well, it doesn't really last. So it great that "real" music and tallent does last and reaches new generations. When done right music is magic.

The Bee Gees has written more than 1000 songs. They have made 22 studio albums, the first in 1965/66 and the last in 2001. The last because Maurice died in 2003 only 53 years old and Robin in 2012, 62 years old. They also had a littel brother Andy Gibb who died in the age of 30 in 1988. He had his first 3 singles I Just Want To Be Your Everything, (Love Is) Thicker Than Water and shadow Dancing going number 1 on the Billboard 100. The Bee Gees had in a periode from 1977 to 1979 6 consecutive number 1's. How Deeps Is Your Love, Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, Too Much Heave, Tragedy and Love You Inside Out. They also in that perode wrote number 1's for Yvonne Ellimann (If I Can't Have You), Frankie Valli (Grease) and Barbra Streisand (Woman In Love). So including the 3 Andy songs they also were involved in it is 12 number 1's in a periode of 4 years, Woman in Love is from 1980. Bee Gees did not have a lead singer but it is true that in the periode from 1975 to 1979 Barry Falsetto was very dominent in their music. In general on their albums the lead were nearly always evenly split between Robin and Barry with Maurice having 1 or 2 songs also. Sometimes they even shared leads like on 1968 song I've Gotta Get A Message To You and the 1993 song For Whom The Bells Toll. In 1973 they made a song called Elisa where all 3 brothers had a verse. As i know it is the only song this happened.

Also......Bee gees fun fact... what do these 3 massive #1 hit's by the Bee Gees ( Tragedy, Too Much Heaven & Shadow Dancing) all have in common? Not only were they all #1 hits from 1979 but they were all written on the same afternoon! it's crazy when you even think about how talented these 3 brothers were!! The harmonies & Barry's falsetto are second to none! There will never be another group like this again........EVER!

Hey guys, Kathy here - so glad I saw this one today. I grew up with the Bee Gees. I am 68 years old, so this brings back so many memories. If you like the Bee Gees, you need to listen to To Love Somebody. It is truly a love song. Also, there was a tribute to the Bee Gees, and Keith Urban played their song To Love Somebody, with Barry Gibb and his wife of over 50 years sitting in the audience. And Keith if a master on the guitar and did that song justice. But so excited to see young people enjoying the music I grew up on. I am 68 years old, and there has never been another group that can sing and harmonize the way these brothers do. But seriously, check out Keith Urban performing To Love Somebody. Awesome!!

Of the 4 brothers, yes, there is only 1 still alive. I feel so much pain and love for him to suffer being alive. He needs love and only love to keep him because if you give him sorrow, then, you feed the pain he already feels for surviving. We all know of this because we live it too. Barry needs us to feel for him without feeling sorry for him. Please never be sorry for him. I am blessed and glad because of him and his brothers.

Brothers Barry, Maurice & Robin Gibb began in 1955 as The Rattlesnakes, (Barry age 9 & the twins almost 6). 1958, renamed BG’s/Bee Gee’s. In the US alone, beginning in 1967, they had 30 top 40 hits (23 in top 10, 9 #1 & 6 were consecutive #1s). Worldwide, over 120 million records sold. 22 studio albums. 83 singles. 2 live albums. 15 compilations. 4 Soundtracks, including Saturday Night Fever, the 2nd largest selling soundtrack of all time (in Library of Congress, as Culturally Significant). 3 Grammys, plus Grammy Legend & Lifetime Achievement Awards. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Songwriters Hall of Fame (1031 songs by Barry, Robin & Maurice, together, alone or with others). Wrote hits for Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Steisand, Frankie Valli, Samantha Sang, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers & more (many also produced by Barry). Barry is the only songwriter in history to have written 4 consecutive #1 songs on US charts. Starting with Bee Gee's Stayin Alive, hit #1 Feb. 4 & held for 4 weeks. March 4, was bumped by Andy Gibb’s (Love is) Thicker Than Water, #1 for 2 weeks. That was displaced by Bee Gee's Night Fever, #1 for 8 weeks, followed by Yvonne Elliman's If I Can't Have You, #1 week of May 13. Since Barry co-wrote all 4, from Feb. 4, 1978, till mid-May 1978, with no gap, a song (co) written by Barry Gibb held the #1 position. Not many will ever come close their career.

Now that you've heard the Bee Gees at the height of their mega success in the mid 70s disco era, you really must go back to their origins from the 1960s. They hit the music scene during the British Invasion in '65 with the Beatles, the Who, the Stones, etc but they were coming from Australia! They actually sounded like the Beatles because they were performing (pop) rock and not singing falsetto.. Check out "Lonely Days, Lonely Nights", "Words", "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", "Massachusetts".

Brothers, two of them twins, sang together their whole lives, that's how you get harmonies like that...

Fanny be tender with my Love is my favorite Bee Gee song. The brothers have evolved and stayed relevant for 40 years. Their 90s song that you must check out ate For whom the Bell Tolls ( it has to be the video with the twin towers of New York on the background) You win again and Alone.

Now it is time to even go deeper down the Rabbit hole: try Barry Gibb with Barbara Streisand “Guilty”, he has written this hit for her, like he has for many other famous artists. It is a perfect duet!

I was so lucky to have seen them in concert. They are the most incredible artist. Nobody can harmonize like siblings. Barry Gibb is still alive I believe he's around 62 now he was not the oldest and he often talks about hearing his brothers in his head
