Thanks, Rachel! I think we confused KZread with this video and understandably so. It was so different, but a great change of pace and one that we needed. But back to beach related content soon. I guess we can't complain too much about having to go spend another weekend on the beach 😂

Ahhh the memories. In one of my many past life experiences I lived on a 50 acre orange grove. We would order up 20 bee boxes each year. The first year, I was gifted a gallon of honey. I had hardly ever even tasted honey in my life before that. Now I use it in place of sugar for most everything. I was very interested in working as a keeper. Sometimes I wish I had made that leap. Totally loved this video.

Same here, Bob. We try to limit our sugar, but when we do need some sweetner it's almost always honey. How cool to have experienced living on an orange grove. You don't get much more of a "real Florida" experience than that! We think we would enjoy the "bee keeping" side of being a beekeeper too, but the removals would surely be challenging (especially on 90+ degree days).

This is such a fun video! Super informative and I had NO CLUE that bees would pick a living structure like that to build a nest! Good to look out for when searching for a place to live. Some scenes y’all didn’t have gloves on. Was this intentional?

We are so glad you enjoyed it, we had such a fun time filming. Apparently it is more common then we think for a colony to make a home in a structure like this. I couldn't believe how many bees were in the ceiling when Matt cut into it! As far as the gloves, this colony was not aggressive at all, so there were times we felt comfortable taking gloves on and off (mainly for filming as it was difficult to operate some of our equipment with the thick gloves on). If the bees would have become aggressive at all our gloves would have stayed on the entire time!

Bees freak me out too. Not as bad as wasps though!!
