Allow me to educate the comment section just in case it's not clear. There is no singer to ever exist that will top Whitney. She was truly the greatest vocalist of all time hands down, and also one of history's most beautiful women. ️💯❤

Watching BeBe and CeCe sing next to Whitney it was clear she was stretching to reach their league. They did with ease what she struggled with to be real. She was head and shoulders above the pop world, but was seen for what she was next to these GIANTS of Gospel.

This woman was one of the BIGGEST stars in the world when she decided to go sing background for Bebe and Cece. If that doesn’t tell you how big Whitney’s heart was, I don’t know what to tell you. It also goes to show how people with the biggest hearts, often get hurt the most. People took advantage of her. She had very few people around her who were genuinely there for her. I’m happy she is now in a place where she doesn’t have to worry about that anymore. Rest In Peace, Queen.

You said this perfectly!!! Watching the Can I be Me documentary recently BROKE MY HEART. Like I literally cried like a baby and my spirit was just down the whole day. You really see how bad it was in that documentary. Anyone who really tried to help was silenced and/or fired. The bodyguard, Robyn eventually, Background singers. It’s really unfortunate but She’s home now and resting! 🧡

Many many people reached out to Whitney. But in the end, it was Whitney who was responsible. She was a functioning addict from the age of 14. If you watch her Oprah interview that she did after her divorce and she talked about her drug addiction. She said taking drugs was fun for her (made her happy, laughing, escape, etc.). She enjoyed drugs even though she knew the cost (not being a good mother to Bobbi Kristina, losing her voice, etc). With that in mind, the drug would always come first -- and sadly, last.

Bebe and Cece were 2 of the few people in Whitney's life that didn't act jealous of her talents and success. I'm appalled at people like Bobby Brown, Pat Houston and others that Whitney gave so much of herself to, and yet in her death they have consistently talked down on her in an attempt to position themselves above her. So sad, but predictable I guess.

I disagree. In the same manner that you didn't know the details of what Whitney did for BeBe financially, you don't know what others did or attempted to do for her spiritually...they just may be respectfully, not speaking on it and allowing her to rest in peace. 🤷🏾‍♀️ P.S. I've seen 2 old KZread videos, from TBN in the late 90s where CECE and Peebles were interceding in prayer for Whitney and had the whole audience agreeing with them in prayer. Also, I recall another video from the early 2000s with a friend taking about helping her, but she refused/was in denial.

To be honest, Whitney seemed to be doing better, and I honestly believe she was murdered anyway. Her hotel room was completely flooded - her assistant Mary said(in the documentary) when she entered the room the water was up to her ankles, but the water on the tub was turned off, and the lights in the room were off. When she left, Whitney was taking a bath and brushing her hair. I absolutely do NOT believe that Whitney got out of the tub, turned the lights off and flooded her whole room , then turned the water off, before deciding to do some coke and faint in the tub. And even if she did do all of that, she still would not have been found in the tub face down and fully submerged. That's not how you would land if you fell in a tub, come on! Plus she had way too many abrasions on her body, just google that autopsy report - she was clearly in a physical struggle. And she definitely did not get in the tub on purpose, because the water was way too hot, she literally had burns on her body from it.

I hope I don't get clowned for saying this, but I've never had a strong connection to Mr. Luther Vandross. I should, but for some odd reason, I couldn't connect to him on a spiritual level. I know and love a healthy amount of his records, but...oh I don't know. Perhaps it wasn't meant to be. Love the way he sings, overall. He was a unique talent. That _Hold Up the Light_ performance on Arsenio is everything. The way Auntie Nippy came out blowin' on her verse...baby! When you look at her face, she wasn't even worried about it. Such a sharp and clear tone of voice. She did a lot of lil' technical things that most folks wouldn't catch. The reason why she could comfortably sing background is because she was the best. When you're the best, you don't trip off of the small stuff. When you're the best, you can be around other great artists. She was a true-blue singer so she wanted to be around other singers. They were friends through and through. Y'all shared *_the secrets_* too. This story you told, Uncle Bebe really touched me. Great interview. Imma go watch her _A Quiet Place_ performance. When she soared up to the top end of her soprano and hit & held that last *quiet* note near the end, I was just too through. Done.

Maybe he struggles with it and if so we as believers should lift him in prayer so he won't fall. Maybe he has fallen and we as belivers should pray that the Holy Spirit convicts him. Maybe he isn't and your post and my comments on the matter wasn't even necessary and we as believers need prayer ourselves

All those years he's been divorced. As a man of God preaching the gospel. You tell me whether or not hes living his life like an angel saint......all those marriages are for covere up. Especially Tye Tribitt....he's another one again. All these black gospel males...are just doing it for fame and for the same sex. Nothing else behind it.
