We weren’t allowed to watch Beavis and Butt-Head back then, so I never saw the finale until I bought the DVD.

I like to think that the show actually exists in the universe so Principal McVicker is just constantly watching them Of course this is extremely outlandish, but it’s Beavis and Butthead

The Walk into the Sunset is Perfect
Having b&b rock out to hall of the mountain king was the best way for them to go out. Till the reboots anyway.
I'm so glad they came back.
MTV has never been the same after Beavis and Butt-Head left the screens for the first time. (Save for Daria and later Jackass, those are still decent shows for its time)

That's why it's titled ORIGINAL series finale, for the first run which lasted 7 seasons (1993-1997).

The new series isn't canon to the original, the 2011 4th season isn't canon either. They were reboots set in an updated time line. The new Paramount+ stuff even has multiple universes where they're teens, adults, and aliens from an advanced civilization all existing at once.
Why did they play that song for the finale. :P
