Definitely take it easy. We had the heat dome over British Columbia and Alberta in 2021. It lasted a month and a half. Some days as high as 42 (118) mid day and on average 35 (so multiply the Celsius by 2 and add 32 to get Fahrenheit). It was brutal.

You need to catch a few of these beavers so we can see what kind of beavers are building these dams. Now they are moving rocks. What are these, super beavers? lol Hold up, I just saw you move what looked like a part of a tree. Yeah, just what of beavers are you dealing with?

So the Beavers are storing water! your temperatures are over 90 and you're breaking down the dam!

Beavers are native and vital to Illinois' river ecology and ecosystem functioning. Their dams can create wetlands and other habitats that provide homes for many species, including fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, waterfowl, and shorebirds. Beavers also help to 1. Reduce flooding: Beaver dams slow water flow, which can prevent soil erosion. 2. Store water: Beavers create ponds that store water during droughts and recharge groundwater. 3. Improve water quality: Beaver ponds store cool water in the summer, which can create habitats for native fish species like salmon and steelhead. 4. Combat climate change: Beavers can help to increase climate resilience and build biodiversity.
