Beaver Dam Removal Next To The Road! DAMAGE appeared!

Beavers dam that makes real damage to the road and culvert. I met farmer there who is hunter too. He said that he will wait for those beavers to eliminate them. If they will stay here for a long time, they will make huge negative impact for the road.

American Beavers weigh 55 pounds and they are basically a Giant flat tail rat. Just think of a large dog in size. Then, consider that they move entire TREES into the water to place them. They regularly fell 16 inch and larger trees one y cousin's property. They are as good a lumber jack as an engineer.

I didn't know that beavers could move rocks that big and place them exactly where they want.

Hey Papa, I think this is the first time we see stones in the dam build, yes? Those pesky critters went all out with tree trunks, stones, and mud. Where are they bringing stones from?

Maybe not the 1st time. The rocks is from eroded culvert I guess.

@@andrewclayterman6230I’ve seen rocks in a lot of beaver dams, even on Post 10s posts. You’ll be surprised what can be carried down a waterway too.

Mantis, you must be part goat because you are so sure-footed jumping around those rocks. (Thank goodness Roberta looks like Momma and not Goat Daddy. 😅) Seriously, how much weight can one of those flat tailed water squirrels move. Some of those rocks look to be over 10 kg each. This was a very orderly built dam also with layers of vertical and alternating horizontal sticks. From the scraping noise, there seemed to be a large number of rocks incorporated into this dam. They are amazing little flat tailed water rat engineers. I can guarantee you pissed them off removing this damn Hug Elfa. What does she want for Christmas this year?

consider that on may cousin's property they regularly drop 16 to 24 inch trees. then they pull them into the water where they can move them easily. The problem is that my cousin has a LAKE and they are destroying it, trying to fill it with sediment so the water will spread out. Funny too, there is a lowland that they could work in forever, but they don't like that area because it floods.
