I love it when you weaken the base of the dam so that it rolls over and disintegrates in the rush of water escaping. The first three were awesome.

More dangerous, but the benefit is less work. If you can trigger a full collapse, then just let the water do the rest of the work. :)

The most important part of that is the water taking the sticks and other debris down river. When you're digging out a dam, if you just leave the sticks on the edge where the dam was, the beaver just goes..."oh hey, let's build another! Thanks for the sticks!"

I am from Wisconsin USA , we have Great horned owls that overwinter here from possibly Northwest Territories . During summer we have ruby throated hummingbirds from thousands and thousands of miles away in South America
