They're called Dutch braids :) just in-case you wanted to know the actual name or try it

+themarshrox21 it's actually not Dutch braids! Dutch braids are where the hair is braided under rather than over and creates a more detached look. This is just a regular French braid. just wanted to let you know :)

I feel all these products, powders, fibers, etc. make it very easy to make lashes clumpy and spidery. Not loving the look, but you are still as gorg as ever!!

Just use eyelash primer! I use it everyday and I think it works really good! I use the urban decay eyelash primer and the landcome eyelash primer works the same as well!

It kinda gives you a natural looking eyeliner on the eye with powder! Thank you for doing this because I've wanted to try this forever!

I actually do this to make my eyelashes look longer but I use a cuetip instead of the spoolie. The fuzz from the cuetips helps to make the eyelashes appear longer, but anyway I love you and I love watching these types of videos from you

One of the best thing for having lashes that look like falsies but are not, is the fiber primer from hard candy! It is absolutely amazing and so cheap. I apply the fibers just like regular mascara and then use my regular mascara routine and it is absolutely amazing!

I just look at your beautiful brows and cry silently... And your gorgeous matching nails and rings...

what I did to make my lashes longer is put vasoline on them and sleep with it on and it actually works I've seen growth.

If you put Vaseline near your eyes you can get a really bad infection

castor oil is a for sure way to see growth and is safe for your eyes.

If you wiggle the mascara brush from side to side as you apply your mascara, it will make the difference clearer and look less clumpy

glad i saw this, i was going to try it but on seeing this think i will just carry on with my mascara and stick in the falsies when i want a more dramatic look

The powder side looks clumpy, maybe if there was time to let the mascara dry & then could comb through but I agree with you, not enough of a difference to add that to a daily routine.

I do this all the time. If you apply the powder to your lashes while the mascara is still wet it works better also to the tips of your lashes instead of the full length of your lashes. Just a tip for anyone wanting to try it.

Once I tried hard bar of soap foam as first coat and then mascara on top, it actually worked awesome, I think, because soapy substance are pretty liquid, so it provides perfect coverage. Although, I feel like this is kinda dangerous idea, it's so easy to get soap into your eye.

I think that the eye with only mascara on it looks better than the eye with baby powder and mascara

I curl my lashes first, apply a layer, curl again, apply powder with my fingers, another layer of mascara and another layer of powder and another layer of mascara. Always works for me :)

I have always thought that 'Holy fail' sounds like the equivalent to 'F***ing fail' as opposed to being in between a fail and a pass.

Tbh the chance of baby powder in my eye is not worth the slightly bigger eyelashes. Glad you made this video!

Do the DIY mashed Avocado and Honey hair mask

I do this all the time, I just use my fingers to apply the powder. I feel like it packs it on well :) I don't get any clumping at all and its definitely given me a fuller look. I have alopecia areata of the scalp and eyelashes, so especially on my right eye where my lashes are suuuuper thin in the middle, I need some help

A few videos I've watched that have tested this put the powder on while the mascara was still wet, and that helped the clumping. To me it's not worth putting that much effort into eyelashes, I'd rather do falsies.

They def look fuller though

i found that dipping my finger into the powder helps it go on much much easier instead of using the spoolie :)

they may look a but clumpy, but personally I think it looked great on you and I'm totally gonna test this

what i do is put translucent powder on my lashes before putting on mascara and it makes them longer without being clumpy

hi I have a little tip for this I put baby powder on just the tips of my eyelashes and add more mascara bit just a little on the tips and it makes my eyelashes longer and better ! hope this helps

Putting the powder on with your fingers is much easier. I've been doing this for a few years and it really works :)

I personally wouldn't do it. Baby powder is scented talcum powder. Which comes from talc. Talc is a mineral, essentially a rock. A very soft rock, but still a rock. I won't be putting anything rock-ish anywhere near my eyes. Don't care if it'll make my lashes fuller. I don't want cornea scratches. Thanks anyway. All this is just my opinion. I love Elko's Fail or Holy Grail videos. :)

when i tried using the powder i didn't put it on the upper side of the lash, it got a lot more clumpy when i put the mascara and powder on the top

The powder needs to be applied on the wet mascara to stick on better

Yeah I don't think I would take the time to do that, especially when it doesn't make them look that different.

the powder one looks thicker but.. maybe not in an amazing way? it is a tad clumpier. I think the eye without looks great.

I feel a lot of the mascara hacks equate clumping to more volume. If you buy a good volumizing mascara you it doesn't clump but does create a fuller look, but these hacks just seem to stick your eyelashes together or clump the mascara 😕

I don't think I would do this for a few reasons. It's not my preference for how they come out looking and even if it was my eyes are super sensitive so I'm afraid the baby powder would irritate them. If I want an extreme look I think I'll just try my hand out at false eyelashes. (But I guess it's a good thing I prefer the more natural mascara look since I already have extremely long lashes).

The results might be dependent on the type of mascara you use. I could see it working better with a wetter formula of mascara that doesn't dry too quickly.

You did it wrong your supposed to apply one coat of mascara that apply the powder to the lashes when the mascara still wet then apply the second coat of mascara I hope you redo this happen really try it

There is definitely difference, especially in fullness. But, it's not a dramatic difference.
