I was so excited to see you unboxing goodies from Leafy Brand! I'm new to moss poles and was too lazy to make my own 😅, so i searched and came across the Leafy Brand ones a few months ago. They are very aesthetically pleasing, and Andy is such a lovely guy. I've just attached a Syngonium Batik, a Philodendron Silver Sword and a Philodendron Splendid to the clear diamond poles and I've very excited to see what happens. The moss poles are really stable even in Leca! The plastic is really thick and the D shape makes it super stable. My plants are currently living outside under the pergola (i live in Melbourne also) and even with all the crazy wind we had today not a single one toppled over. Ps love your channel! You've inspired me to give Leca a try - I've so far moved all my Syngoniums and starting to move some of my Philodendrons over to Leca as well. I've also just propogated some cuttings using your secret sauce recipe and it was honestly amazing to watch how much the roots grew day by day!

Loving the new look and the stakes could be used to stabilize the clear moss poles and the whole thing disappears great 😮

Great to see you getting behind a local product. These have been a game changer for me, I bought some a couple of months back and have truly been converted. It is summer here, but all the plants I put on these large 66cm moss poles are ALREADY at the top! To me, they do three key things: plants are super happy and race up the poles, watering frequency is dramatically reduced, and the aesthetic it is much, much nicer than plain poles. I tried at the clear ones initially, but I’m swapping over to white as I think they look much nicer. It’s great not to have to see the messy brown sphagnum, and just notice the beautiful plants instead. I love the look of the new leca pots, I would love to see some with clear pots that have no drainage as I use the ‘vase’ method for my leca (sorry Nora).

Wow absolutely wonderful stuff. I love the look of the pots! The spikes on the clear u-trellises are unique, and those stem support hooks are so cool. All of these things solve little plant problems we all have. I suspect Leafy is only in Australia but I can hope they may expand to the U.S. or license their inventions to a U.S. seller!

Hi, Watching your latest video re Plant Accessories, Re pots, have you seen the pots sold at Bunnings called "Water Planter" 143 x 160mm. They have slits starting an inch below the rim all the way down to the bottom all the way around the pot. I find them really good for my leca grown plants, no need to make holes and there are a couple of sizes. Enjoying your videos.

Oh. My. Goodness! Plant Bling! 💕 Nora, is there a difference between using a wick and filling the cache pot up a bit further? Or is it more of a preference and a knowing what works for you thing?

Always a great feeling when you have a mesh pot that fits the cache pot perfectly. I should add a wick to some of my pots that are a little to tall for my mesh pot.

Hi, Nora. Absolutely love your channel. I was watching a Q&A you did, but I haven't quite found the question I was looking for. I started my Leca journey with my orchids, and I've had some wonderful results. Because I'm growing orchids, I've been using pure water, with the aid of a rain barrel. Its' actually fairly easy to maintain a large collection in a self-watering system because most orchids grow slowly and they aren't that large. Now, however, I've put a few big foliage plants into Leca, and I've realized that using pure water for all of them is just too much work. My water has a tds of 195-250 ppm. I'm wondering if that's going to give me too many problems with efflorescence and/or hurt the plants. Have you measured your tds, and if so, what is it? Doesn't seem like flushing would do much good if your flushing water has a high tds. (in the summer, we get lots of rain, so I can put them outside and let the rain flush them.)
