"Ikhav Kozak za Dunaj" is a Ukrainian folk song; I've arranged 3 VERSIONS for you. The song is about a man who says goodbye to his beloved because he must to leave to go to war. :'(
Even Beethoven enjoyed this melody! When Beethoven made his arrangements of this folk song, Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire (so it is frequently called a Russian folk song). In Germany the tune is best known as "Schone Minka" and has another set of lyrics.
